First of all, thanks to all of you who helped put A Moment's Hesitation into the featured box for the better part of a week.
Secondly, I'm pleased to say that it won F*** THIS PROMPT 6.
Thirdly, there's been a small addition to the last chapter. It was never my intention to make a fix fic or a Celestia bashing story, just a small adjustment to which aspect of Twilight's personality was dominant when she got her final assignment, the overthinking worrier instead of the eager fanfilly. The opinions of the characters are their own, especially Luna's. This addition should hopefully clear up a bit of the perceived mean-spiritedness. Or it may ruin the story. Not sure yet. Let's find out!
But seriously, thanks, guys. Never expected this one to take off like this.

Well, it took a bit of the edge off, but the original ending was happy enough- Celestia got some much-needed perspective and made the best of it.
