You know that thing when you've been working on something and you just finished it? And then you read it and realize that it's thematically inappropriate, or oddly paced, or just plain bad? And then you realize you have to re-do about a week's worth of work? And then you are interrupted by the appearance of a young child that can only speak Russian, but they have the most unusual blue eyes, and a

    A bold new direction!

    I have good news, everyone!

Due to recent events, I've come to realize that sustaining my current pace of work is simply not going to happen. In between my busy schedule of work, video games, crying in my shower, and training to beat the record for most packets of instant oatmeal cooked in a day, I'm simply swamped.

So.

Thank you all for your continued patience with my lack of updates. I have been hard at work on the Halloween story, and I currently have several chapters written and a few more in development. I'm aiming for thirteen in total, because I enjoy melodrama more than I enjoy apples, which, coming from someone who grew up in Washington State, is a significant pleasure of mine. We're talking Applejack levels of enjoyment here.

Anyway! I'm writing this because the next chapter of Courts will likely push tonight, and soon the story will begin to pick up in earnest. Be prepared for awkward teenage revelations, potential maimings, and perhaps most terrifying of all, REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY.

But wait! There's more!

Recently I've been getting into codes, thanks both to an animated series that takes place in Oregon and a book by one Simon Singh. So I'm announcing a weekly blog post, encrypted with a Vignere cypher. In said blog post will be small insights about the series in general and one enigmatic figure in particular. Also in the post will be a clue for the keyword for next week's cypher, so be sure to keep up if you want to continue receiving said tidbits!

I look forward to publishing again, and to seeing how many of you wish to keep up with my messages!

Good luck!

perhaps most terrifying of all, REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY.

Why isn't this the Halloween story?

In all seriousness, glad to have you back. I'm looking forward to the encoded blogposts. Does that mean there's a hint in this post for the very first encrypted one?

Yes, but it Falls to you to find the keyword for yourself.

I'm aiming for thirteen in total, because I enjoy melodrama more than I enjoy apples, which, coming from someone who grew up in Washington State, is a significant pleasure of mine. We're talking Applejack levels of enjoyment here.

So we're talking Rarity levels of melodrama here?

I'm looking forwards to unraveling that cypher key when I'm on a device more suitable to do so.

Insert that gif of Twilight hopping around the table yelling "Yes! Yes! Yes!" That is me seeing that Courts finally updated.

"When gravity falls and earth becomes sky, fear the beast with just one eye."
