Soooo...

So, about 2K worth of hockey gear was stolen from me today. Just...gone. San Jose police have been notified, and I'm going to go hunting flea markets...but it's unlikely that I will ever see this gear again. Most of it is replaceable, but my stick and jersey were customized and...special to me.
Who would want this stuff? The resale value is shitty! It smells like mold, sweat, and manly obscenity. Now I have to call pawn shops, check craigslist, and scour flea markets on my birthday this weekend in the hopes of finding it. But it's unlikely.

I also know what it feels like to have something stolen from you that has sentimental value.

Actually, hockey sticks are pretty worthwhile to grab. Lightweight, easy to steal, with a price tag of 40-150 dollars, even sold secondhand. My stick just happened to be a rare, discontinued, feathweight stick...so it's about 100 on it's own. It was probably all the easiest thing to grab. The skates too are like 50-200$ resale.
