New Story: "Running Free Across the Plain" is up! · 2:38am Oct 11th, 2015
Good evening everyone! Been a good day for MLP. Latest episode came out and I got railroaded by the feels-train, MLP has been out for five years officially, and, coincidentally, my new story is out.
It's relatively short at around 9 pages and it is complete. If you check it out to the end, there's a little preview relating it to "The Iron Horse" that you might enjoy when the next chapter comes out. Anyway, what's the story about?
Well, it's about ponies. Wild ponies, specifically, long before they learned to talk or use magic or anything else. It follows the daily life of a pony who is only known as "the gray foal," and his interactions with his mother and the other ponies in his herd. Fair warning, there is at least one dark scene, briefly, but I wanted to go for a stark, unadorned picture of the life of wild ponies. I tried my best to be realistic and depict equine socialization and behavior as it would actually happen.
There's also a little bit of metahumor in there if you're willing to look for it. Because, hey, it's me.
