Just remember that Amy was the same Amy that wrote "Bridle Gossip", so I think you're freaking out a biiiiiiit too much. Perhaps it would be wise if you calm down for a moment and analyze the episode a little bit more...

Not to say this was a bad episode!

...which it was. But I just think the episode could have benefited from being less rushed. Everything felt really clustered and quick, and not in the good way like Hotel Transylvania. If you like it, good for you! You found something you liked, and I'm happy for you! But perhaps saying this episode couldn't have been done better was a slight stretch...

No offense, of course.

The only thing I didn't like was the design of the CMC's cutie marks. The shield designs look too heavy and detailed in my opinion. Usually the cutie mark is one graphic standing by itself with no background. I really only think of Shining Armor and maybe Luna having heavy cutie marks. Sooo... anyways... I guess their special talent is being cutie mark crusaders and helping other ponies get their cutie marks and/or better understanding their marks.

I'm going to change my cutie mark. From a grape parfait, into a beefy arm with an asshole on it breaking wind on a shield background. I can't actually eat parfait's because of my specific dietary requirements, and because I do a lot of weight lifting and martial arts, and eat a lot of protein shakes and those make me fart. And the asshole is there because I'm a certified asshole. So there. And the shield is there because I help others lift weights and exercise.... Take that CMC!! GRRRRRR!!!! So angry! Rip Oog head off.
