new episode: EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED · 10:08pm Oct 10th, 2015
our headcanons have been sunk captain
So this was a goddamn fantastic episode
But
RIP all CMC cutie mark headcanons up to this point
RIP all Diamond Tiara family headcanons up to this point
Filthy clearly married her for her positivity and bubbly personality
yet
Congratulations to CMC being Diamond Tiara's friend later on headcanon for your ascension
I was kinda hoping for the three of them to get separate cutie marks but I can see that their destiny is to help other ponies learn what their cutie marks mean and help them see how they are special and see how they can use their special ways for the Greater Good
Damn Tau, fucking heretics all of them
But this episode was essentially a twenty minute musical... Which was great! the songs were fantastic, the headcanons killed were worth killing, and the new headcanons in their wake will be interesting to see. I for one am all in favor of the CMC's operation expanding across Equestria, like a Big Brothers Big Sisters thing or Mormonism.
But yeah. This is a CMC episode that makes all CMC episodes worth it by proxy.
One heck of an episode.
Read my most recent blog post, 'cuz it relates to the episode.
Actually the first CMC episode I legitimately liked. And holy fucking hell was it an episode. So much stuff we (read as "I") never thought we'd see happened: Silver Spoon saying 'No' to Diamond Tiara. DT getting Redeemed and actually taking her first step towards being a nice
personpony, and the CMC getting their fucking Cutie Marks!I found the episode amazing. and yes. Tau.. So much cheese....

Damn Gue'la always complaining...
I have mixed feelings here. While the CMC will always remain my favorites... something about this episode was lacking. All the work that went into the music maybe needed to be condensed into more effort with Diamond's bit of depression and something near the end similar to what was done.
Too much music threw the pacing off where dialogue would have served better.
That said, this would have made an amazing too parter and near the end though I somewhat thought... Cutiemarks or... blank flank alicorns?
Like most mixed feeling episodes I'll probably warm up to it.
I like that they got their marks, but I rather hate the way they pulled it off.
Hasbro needs to take a deep breath, calm their shit and STOP RUSHING IMPORTANT THINGS!!!!
AND QUIT WITHE THE MOTHER FUCKING MUSICALS!!!!!!! One or two songs are fine, but THAT'S IT!!! No more!
Well, I'm probably the only person who had Scootaloo's cutie mark being a shield in the story...
Weirdly enough, I thought of something like this a long time ago...it was just for a quick second though...like...a brief flash, but I recall thinking about this...The episode felt bittersweet to me, I'm happy to see the horizons for the "Cutiemark Crusaders", but the nostalgia at the end slammed it's fist right in my feels, and I'm personally going to miss the perspective of those little blank flanks, though another fun thought is that Both Applebloom's, and Scootaloo's parents were both indirectly, canonically confirmed dead, as if we needed the characters to point that out.
