The pony processing organ in my head still has some foreign non-pony contaminants.

    Sincere Shilling!

If you like D&D stuff, or just tabletop rpg stuff in general, one of the people I follow online is trying to get funding to create something to sell for Dungeon Masters to increase immersion.

    Happy Holidays

This is your yearly reminder that I wrote a decently funny Christmas story in the long-ago times. If you haven't read it, you should! If you have read it, maybe you should just stick with blurred memories of how good it was.

    Books!

So, due to my high level connections here and there, I now have an advance copy of several highly sought after ponyfic books. Now that I've had a chance to check several of them out in person, I have to say that Ponyfeather Publishing does excellent work. Anyone able to pick one up, at Bronycon or ordering them afterward, should totally do so.

So, I've actually been posting on my primary blog lately. Which has been nice, given that I've pulled myself out of depression enough to actually do stuff like that. So, here's been my daily content over there:

The Next Edward VIII by Gabriel LaVedier

Bleh. The writing is a bit clunky, has too much unsupported worldbuilding, with Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie as marefriends just kinda because. Decent premise though. Twilight giving up being an alicorn so she can stay in Ponyville with her friends and have a simple life. Still, not recommended.

"Funner" Isn't A Word, Imbecile by TaviTwoHooves

This was funny. I like this Sweetie Belle. A pity she’ll never show up in the show. Highly recommended if you want some intellectual trash-talking Sweetie Belle unleashed on Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.

Life in the Inner Wing by Zeck
[story link] [my original review]

Basic slice of life, but with a gryphon instead of a pony for the main character. Some sweet stuff, some fun stuff, some sad stuff, the usual for a good slice of life. Not as much worldbuilding as I would have liked. It’s a story that you would think should have worldbuilding, but ends up not having much. I’d recommend it for light reading.

The Proper Care and Feeding of Monsters by Cold in Gardez
[story link] [my original review]

Another good Cold in Gardez story. The ponies are all written excellently. All of them felt very true to the show. In fact this story would make a good episode. I’d recommend this one.

Passing the Time by Rinnaul
[story link] [my original review]

Nice little story. Twilight and Celestia in a featureless void with each other. A simple character study of both ponies. Nothing deep, but still a good exploration of the characters.

As always, The Big Master Review List is here: { THE MASTER LIST }
If you know of a text-format reviewer I'm not keeping track of, please let me know and I'll see if they meet the criteria to be assimilated into the list.

If you are an author who wants a more detailed review of a story I've covered feel free to message me. My reviews tend to be fairly light, mostly just reactions to a story right after reading it. I am happy to give a more careful read and reply to anyone who wants more precision and/or feedback.
