The reaction from some people about Brotherhooves Social is so lame.
So Big Mac in a dress made you cringe? Is it because the thought of guys enjoying anything feminine disturbs you? Then you are the problem, not the episode and you need to examine why this is so instead of crying "dumb tumblr shit."
The whole point of the episode was a guy was envious of a a girl (his sister) and her bond with their little sister. He looked up to Applejack and wanted to be like her, and be as adored in the eyes of Applebloom so he donned the dress so he could be taken seriously. It's literally about a guy wanting to be as cool as a girl.
And that makes some people uncomfortable? Once again I don't understand why some people watch this show.
There wasn't this outcry when he behaved like a dog, IJS.
It was because he conducted himself in a disgraceful/ awkward way, I would assume. Pretending to be a girl is one thing, but knocking over tables and over-acting is another.
Didn't bother me, anyway.
Really? I thought people would LOVE him in a dress. The judges are fine with crossdressing! Another example of a better, more loving and accepting society! (Not TOLERANT. Accepting. :))
And can I just say that every time Big Mac talks that I just wanna give him butterfly kisses all over his stupid face?

I think most people were okay with this episode, but there's always some idiots. And yes, he was adorable!

I thought it was hilarious. Not specifically because of the cross-dressing, but because Mac was so bad at it. Cross-dressing just makes some people uncomfortable, I guess, though I personally consider that uncomfortable as the same one in "I'm uncomfortable being around gays" type...

3447250 It would have made me a little uncomfortable if he were doing it for no apparent reason, but his motivations made a lot of sense in the episode. Either way, I don't think the writers were trying to go for anything near the lines of cross-dressing/gender confusion. They're just entertaining the eight years with silly antics like they should. ;)

While I'm sure they are MAINLY entertaining eight year olds on one level, it's clear the show DID have a message about gender conformity.
Somebody call me Nostradamus, because I freaking predicted this. I mean this about as predictable as the freaking Fatpone debacle. Seriously people grow up. This isn't anything new, especially not in animation (considering that Bugs Bunny was doing it long before MLP was even conceived of). Actually speaking of the carrot eating elusive hare, Big Mac really reminded me of Bugs here for some reason. I think it was because of the phony bologni southern accent combined with his attire. All in all, the episode was pretty funny and it's actually interesting how comfortable Big Mac feels in that role. It's like he can only speak when he is truly role playing. And the moral was very mature and that ending was pretty darn sweet. It wasn't the best episode,but it was pretty good and it felt like their hearts were in the right places with this one. People who overreacted need to understand that crossdressing was played for laughs in so many other shows that it really isn't anything new. Also Big MAc as a lady pony wrecking everypony's ish was quite hilarious, but it still deepened his connection to AppleBloom. In the end, the moronic part of our fanbase will always be heard to some extenet (and quite honestly I am offended that the male fans usually act this way. It's not like bronies get enought sh
t thrown their way, but they have to provoke more dung to be flung our way), but as long as the intelligent and rational ones are there to keep the morons in check we will be fine.

Especially since the judges knew it the whole time and just rolled with it, and didn't disqualify them because of that. Even though they got disqualified anyway.

I thought that it was hilarious, and sweet, and gave Big Mac's character depth, the more so because he both envied Applejack, and loved both his sisters.
It's a shame cause this was a great episode. Ending totally got to me. But people are hypersensitive these days, due to reading in between the lines too much to find problems. When really, there are no problems.
Like seriously, there have been so many shows and cartoons that have their male characters wear dresses for some sort of comedy's sake or just cause.
I thought what Big Mac did pretty much made him the best Big Brother EVER. To go to those lengths for your sister, and the potential humiliation? Definitely coolest Big Bro, and people need to just.. take a chill pill about the whole thing. Kinda depressing that so many are reacting the way they are.
