Since the first Equestria Girls movie was released I always had two human counterparts in mind for future antagonists. Those two being Discord and Sombra who I see as the top two villains in the MLP series. Never dived too deeply into the ideas, that is until the third EQG movie was released and we were introduced to Crystal Prep. Exactly two days after I saw that I was just hit by a drive to go through with the idea which resulted in my writing of "No Over Yet" as a sort of buffer to carve the first stepping stone to a full series.
Even if the fic itself didn't do as well as I hoped (Given it didn't pass submission until late at nigh) the results were still positive. So if anyone is still reading this blog post, tell me. Just what do you think Sombra would have in store, and how far do you think he'll go?
Hope to hear some of your thoughts.

Going by what we know of Sombra from the show and comics, he probably wants to spread general domination, fear and misery in retaliation for a real cruddy childhood. Probably bullied a lot in Crystal Prep too. (Reading Fiendship is Magic shows that Sombra, in many ways, is like an evil version of Twilight but not in the same way Starlight Glimmer is)
So, wait... Did he use his pull to replace Amore with Cinch?
3437519 Oh trust me, you'll see he has plans for both soon enough.
I believe the general consensus in the fandom is that Discord is a janitor at Canterlot High. A rather clumsy and somewhat chaotic, but much-beloved, janitor.
Assuming you're talking about Sombra before he was sealed and not the Almighty Idiot we ended up with, then he'd probably be a brutally efficient chessmaster of a villain. Even moreso than Adagio. Everything Twilight dealt with in the Crystal Empire was a countermeasure he set up before he was sealed, so imagine how dangerous he'd be matching wits with the girls directly.
As for his role, much like you, I had the idea of Sombra as the superintendent of Crystal Prep. I'd imagine that unlike Cinch, he'd be less concerned with the school's REPUTATION and more focused on discovering why, after so many successes, that they suddenly lost. And once he finds out about magic, he'd waste no time trying to harness it for themselves. Perhaps after observing the Human 7, he infuses the Shadowbolts with magic to counter the group. Or even uses it on himself.
For his powers, Sombra would revolve around darkness and fear. Peering into the recesses of his opponents' minds and bringing their fears to the surface. Then, he would seal them within a crystal trapped in a state of fear.
