    Friendship Games...

I'll be completely honest. I hated the first movie and felt neutral to the second. Why? The first one was just a forced way to throw toys into the market by making a very low quality film. Poor character developement, poor humor and overall poor plot.
They tried to make it right with the second one, but it was still the same thing:
    -There's a bad guy.

    About that 100th episode...

So there have been an incredibly unnecessary amount of reviews out there and I just thought: Hey, I should make my own!

Nah... Actually, I just want to share my thought with you very quickly:
    I loved the references.
    I loved the fanserivice.
    I liked the humor.

    More about the story

I just added an image, and it is exactly what I was looking for since the beggining! I was very lucky to find it.

Also, the "Slice of life" tag has been removed since it implies daily life events and I have something different in mind.

The next chapter should be ready in about two days.

-Good guys try to stop the bad guy but fail.
-Bad guy gets progressively stronger.
-Good guys friendship-beam the heck out of the bad guy.

Seriously, no matter how better the dialogues, interactions, songs and animation get. It's still nothing new.

Along the three movies, Sunset's redemption is very similar to that of Twilight's. She slowly learns lessons about friendship that make her a better leader, and I feel like it wasn't needed when we already have a protagonist.

In this third movie, there were also a lot of flaws. No one in the freaking school seems to give a fuck about the giant plant monster thing that's about to devour their classmates. No, instead, like the principals also do, they sit and watch the epicness of the moment. Just what the hell?! Even if they were used to this kind of thing (which they shouldn't) they forget about it moments after the race ends. The whole thing should've been stopped the moment a portal to another world was opened. I know that if I had been one of the racers I would've been like "Screw the competition, I'm outta here." Specially coming from Crystal Prep. which had no encounters like those before.

Additionally, what happened at the end?! I was very confused when I saw Twilight turn evil just because reasons. All of the magic she absorbed, ALL OF IT, was positive energy. I can't find any explanation as to why hasbro decided to end this in yet another 'Beam the bad guy so he stops being evil' cliché.

I'll repeat. I'm complaining about the low plot quality of the three films. Not the dialogues or the humor or anything else. In my scale, plot is 60% of what matters in a movie; and this trilogy, is just bad in that field.

Going to have to disagree with you on the second. It was a solid movie, with superb villains, catchy and wonderful songs, and great character development for Sunset Shimmer who's become one, if not the, favorite character of mine in the show.

The first one was flawed, but it had some good humor, the songs were okay, and some great Twilight/Spike in it. {Seriously, Spike was golden.}

The third one was like a better version of the first. The Shadow 5 should have gotten more screen time, but Cinch was still a very good antagonist for the most part. She was just so over the top it's hard not to enjoy her moments on screen.

Maybe I overlooked Sunsets' character. I'll have to watch it again with a more open mind; but as I mentioned, the humor, songs, and animation are good (not all the time though).
What I'm complaining about is the movie's plot. I don't know why they can't come up with another kind of movie that doesn't involve villans. And it enfuriates me whenever I see a beam of energy that finishes off the antagonist.
And yes, I am well aware that said energy is not always 'the magic of frienship'. But it's still a lazy way to end things. Can't we get at least some kind of fight or action like that time with Tirek? And let me tell you that even after the epic moment I rolled my eyes when the rainbow beam zapped Tirek and took away his magic. Really, Hasbro is milking the damn attack.

3560073 There was a battle with the sirens and I still think the second pefected the formula. I like it better than some of the two parters, actually.
