Alicorn Twilight and her friends (rant)

(Sorry. I just watched a SFM featuring Twilight trading her immortality to get her friends back)

I read/watched/listened to a lot of thing about Twilight outliving their friends. It's supposed to be sad and make you feel sad, seeing Twilight alone without her friends.
I feel bad about this kind of work because, it's always picture Twilight as a pony that cannot make new friends or even have a familly on her own. It always like she is living on the past. It's ever worse because most of the time she is like never sad for the indubitable lost of her parents and her own brother.

Don't get me wrong. I really enjoy fic using this trope to write crazy young Twilight going dark, but it always irk me when it's an older version of Twilight.
