What the hell. Really... How can something get better and better? How. Explain. Friendship Games was worth the wait, I would not lie and say it was 10/10 like Rainbow Rocks did, but it has a 9/10 from me! I mean... LEMON ZEST IS PERFECTION. I LOVE HER. *cough* But you wanna know why I loved it so much? Well then, see it after the break!
Okay so remember when everyone expected that Sci-Twi was going to be a crazy scientist? And then the trailers and spoilers started to come out. And we basically got pre-season 1 Twilight. I actually like her. Twilight is cute and has a major reason to keep searching for magic. First I thought the movie was going to get us the idea of Twilight simply wanting to search for magic and being evil for catching it or doing something with it with her magical necklace, but she had a good reason to keep doing that even after she saw shit was going down because of that. I admit Principal Cinch was pretty much of a bitch when she made that deal...
I think I'm the only person right now that likes her. I always had a thing for villains, so... Abacus Cinch is a bitch, but that's very good :3 Even so putting Twilight's application for Everton in middle of that deal was bad, but smart in other hand. Cinch knew that was what Twilight wanted the most. So why not put it in the deal to make her do whatever Cinch wanted her to do? But shall we talk about the best Shadowbolt? Yes we will:
Lemon Zest is another version of Vinyl Scratch who likes rock instead of eletronic music and has a bit of Pinkie on her. I love her so much! Also:

At that point they sung the best music (Unleash the Magic), that's also Cinch's song and is simply so good I can't stop listening to it, and then as demanded Twilight did it. She unleashed the magic and it took over her body and started to open portals to Equestria everywhere. Yes, shit was going down for real. And I was worried that it was going to happen the same thing than in the other movie, but...
Sun evolved to Phoenix Sunset. YES. And Midnight and Sun had a epic fight, but who saved everyone? SPIKE! Finally! And what happened? Well:
Yes. Sunset helped her, she showed what Equestria Twilight showed to her. And if you don't ship Sunlight then, man, start now because this was fucking cute:
No really. It didn't ended up being Equestria Girls 1. It was much better, had a epic fight scene, had Sunlight and in the end Cinch got fucked up because I think that magical winged students, portals and talking dogs aren't really something that a person would find normal to listen about. And Twilight got to stay in Canterlot High! I'm proud of Sunset. At this point I think she could easily be a Alicorn princess if she was in Equestria... Meh, she's too badass for that! And to end up we have this:
What does that means? I don't know. But it's beautiful. In a overall this movie was awesome! Had a good comedy, AMAZING songs, awesome new characters, Lemon Zest, LemonTwi, Sunset being badass, Twi being cute, Cadance turning into one of my faves, Spike saving the day and silly photos in the credits. Also Equestria Twilight appearing in the end talking about some time travel stuff? Season finale spoilers? MAYBE. If it is, then we will get a amazing finale, but that's not now. the 'fight' such as it was, was over way too fast. was hoping for Twi vs Tirek awesome. was sadly disappointed.
Sunset's transformation did not match the one from 'My Past Is Not Today', and speaking of Sunset she was WAAAAAAY too thick in this movie. She should've picked up a lot sooner that the way they ponied up was related to them being their true selves.

-Human Twilight/Midnight Sparkles
-Human Cadence and Shinning Armor.
-Sour Sweet, and Sugar coat had some great lines.
Cons
-Poor pacing.
-Shadowbolts were nothing more than Canon fodders.
-Cinch was a uninteresting, one dimensional villain.
-The reactions to the existence of magic was either subdued to downright unrealistic at times. (A problem that consists in all the movies.)
-Predictable ending. (Though the epilogue was cute.)
-Human Pinkie Pie is as obnoxious as ever.
-(personal gripe) nothing was still done with Flash Sentry...nor Trixie.
-Only one, maybe two good songs.
Final score: 3/5
Slightly better than EqG 1 , but leagues below RR. But still watchable.
