Or not, as the case may be. Either way, I've spent the past two days having a lovely time at the St. Louis Scottish Games, after being invited along by a friend. As a bit of lark, I did check with the genealogy tent to see if my surname connected to any Clan, and to my great surprise it did! So, after a few forms and a registration fee, I am now a fully fledged member of Clan Davidson, so that's pretty cool.

Clan membership does not, unfortunately, get me a discount on Scotch from any reputable liquor dealers however.
