My Thoughts on "Made in Manehattan"

Let's keep this one short and sweet, mostly because I'd rather be doing anything else than talk about this episode. So, without further ado, blah blah blah, Made in Manehattan.

Okay, maybe I should explain why that is. Simply put, this episode was horrifically boring. I only finished watching about fifteen minutes ago, and I've already forgotten most of it. The only bit I found even vaguely entertaining was at the beginning, where Twilight is groaning about being bored. It was cute and sort of funny, although it doesn't make any sense for her to be pining for a trip to Manehattan. Let's look at her options here: wings, teleportation spell, train. Three perfectly viable ways to take a little vacation to Manehattan. Why does she need to wait for the map? Don't give me that "she's a busy princess" crap, because she said herself that nothing else has been going on. So, this episode would've gotten a 5 just for being boring. Then, Rarity uttered the name I'd been secretly dreading, naively disregarding, but darkly expecting.

Coco Pommel.

I hate Coco Pommel. I hate everything about Coco Pommel. I hate her clothes, I hate her mane, I hate her voice. I'm not going to go on a rant about how much I dislike her, but suffice it to say that she was very low on my list of Season 4 characters. Plus, she was given far too much love for nothing, much like Sugar Belle.

This episode was just dry, and that's sinful enough as it is. Then, you add on Coco, who I had desire to see more of, and you end up with a pretty poor episode all around.

Overall, I rate this episode at a highly disappointing 3 out of 10. Dry, boring, forgettable, and it was marred from the appearance of Coco Pommel.

P.S. Anyone notice how this season has at least made mention of at least one single-episode character from each of the prior seasons? Gilda in The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone, Babs in Bloom and Gloom, Cherry Jubilee in Party Pooped, and now Coco. Huh. Wonder what that could mean?
