Story revamp

Alright if you noticed I revoked the submission of my story. My reasoning behind it is that I had to do some further editing that my brother did not catch, nor did I. Another reason was I needed to expand it a little bit more to connect a few things. This story is going to branch off other stories, for example, what happened to the protagonist Cynbel and his family? More questions came to mind by the reviewer and that is perfect. These questions and more can lead up to the next chapter in the story. Only one problem, I'm trying to figure out how to piece so that it's easier to follow, but be able to connect the chapters even though one is past and the other is present. Hopefully, I can find a story with this structure. Any suggestions?
