Weekly Report #3

Hiya! I have nothing good for an opener so let's get started.

Important note: My 10 follower contest was pushed out another week, instead of being over yesterday it will now be over on Friday. That was amazing English.

Chapter 1 of the Filly in Orange (or Memoirs of Spotlight, still haven't decided. I would like to hear what you guys like better) is done on my part. I have shipped it off to the editors and now I'm waiting on them. As for the other project Whose Name Shall Not be Mentioned, I have a basic idea of what I'm going to be doing, which I'll get started on before I finish my character sheet. (more on that later)

I wrote TFiO's prologue this week and continuing with my little teaser here it is:

Lend me your ear for a tale yet to come,
When ponies are free and drink of rum.
Two worlds diverted from their path,
finding themselves in utter wrath.
When the savior of both was born of one,
who transcended through time bringing a son.
Together the two should have ruled the land,
until the one met her fate in the underland.
Now she sleepeth evermore,
till one of the dreaming should wake her foal.
Then the filly in orange will stand tall and bold,
saving us from our iron hold!
A mighty rejoicing there will be,
and an end to all our agony.
Now lend me an ear and you will hear
This story, don’t you fear.
A turning point in history,
is where we will look and see.

It is rough and I'm still working on it, but I hope to have it to a workable point by the time I am ready to release chapter 1.

Okay, this week's Episode; I hated it! The Noir style didn't work for me, oops that's breaking a bit of my no spoiler policy but based on the title it's not that big of one. There were some interesting lore tidbits, We saw how ponies seduce other ponies. It has been implied for quite a while, but it hasn't been officially cannoized yet. Jazz has also been canonized, with all the music in the show it's impressive that we haven't gotten any slow Jazz until now.

It has now been firmly established that a certain Sassy Saddles, yes spoilers boohoo it has been a week, you have had more than enough time to watch last week's episode, is now considered a CMC level background pony. Also THAT NAME THO! It cracks me up every time, Hasbro isn't even trying to be subtle with that one. Speaking of the Boutique staff, we have seen that rarity has a costume changing spell of some sort, go ahead call my no derp... but this just me sharing my observations.

As for myself? I have spent my week buried in Java coding. I am re-making the character sheet for a D&D ruleset that I am a co-developer of. It's nothing much, but it is taking time; so that is where most of my focus has been put. Other than that I got Gold Nova Master in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Zid has been bugging me to do an ask blog on Tumblr with him. Would any of you be interested in that? I'm not really interested but if I get some people to give me some starter comments I might do it...

Other than that not much has happened, hyped for Fallout 4 in November. Mom is serving up some cake so I'm out for now! Talk to you all next week and as always:
