Bad Dragon

I write so that one day I may finally stop writing and be free, but these damn new ideas keep finding ways into my brain. I need to write more to vent them out!

Yay, I just had an out-of-body experience · 9:59pm Sep 19th, 2015

It just happened. Here’s how it went. This was all happening about half an hour after I fell asleep. Some weird dream half-awoke me. I opened my eyes a little (or maybe I was dreaming it, I don’t know) and I saw some faces floating around the bed. Some of them were coming closer. It felt non-boring, and I like having monsters in my bed, so I closed my eyes and let myself go deeper.

Then something weird started happening. It was like some force was ripping me out of my body. I could see my own face. I was detaching from it. The rest of my ghost body was detaching from the rest of the body.

My spirit arms were the last thing to detach. They felt heavy and bound.

I was floating above my body. I saw myself lying on my back across the double bed. That’s not how my actual bed looks like, so I knew right there and then that it was all just a dream.

Anyways, the force that pulled me out of my body kept pulling me away. I didn’t have any popcorn with me, but I wanted to experience it fully, nonetheless. So I let myself be pulled away.

I felt myself flowing across the sky. There were some basic geometric shapes floating around, mostly simple cones. There were a couple of cartoon mermaids-like dolls, also. They felt kind of out of context.

Anyway, everything was getting brighter and brighter. My arms no longer felt heavy. I spread them out and felt free as I soared across the skies.

I went further, reaching space. I wasn’t sure if breathing in that environment was okay. I also wondered if I actually needed to breathe. It was time for experimentation. Yay, dream science! I focused on not breathing because I wanted to know if I would feel the urge to breathe.

After a couple of seconds of space voyage, I saw a city-like structure floating on a cloud. It looked kind of like this:

The surroundings were blue, so apparently I wasn’t in space anymore. And there was beautiful music playing in the background. Everything felt quite serene.

Before I could get any closer, however, I felt the need to breathe. Damn you, instinct-driven reptilian brain! The urge to gasp woke me up from this interesting dream.

I’ve been through sleep paralysis several times; I lucid dream almost every week; but this was the first time I had an out-of-body experience.

I kind of feel a little woe about this whole experience now. There aren’t any more mysteries in this world for me to experience. It’s just the old boring reality from here on. Oh, well. I still have my convoluted fantasies in my head to keep me company. I’m content with that.

Anyways, have you experienced anything ‘mysterious’ in your life? Let me know in the comments.

I AM SO JELEOUS! O_O
I've heard of OOBE, and I'd love to try it!
but it's pretty hard to get into it...
btw, funny facts:
did you know that it's considered dangerous, cuz your body becomes like a portal for bad spirits when you're out?
and...
when you do OOBE for the 1st timemost of people wake up sh*t or p*ssed their pants :rainbowlaugh: No kidding! :rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

3404493 How do you know she was your sister?

3404496 It was quite awesome. I hope my next OOBE takes me to Hell next. I like things that are interesting.

Anyways, I haven't shitted or pied on myself during the experience. I did feel mildly shocked about it, though. It was something new for me. I don't get that often.

As for the bad spirits goes, if you have any influence on them, send them to me. I don't mind the company.

Lucky son of a gun. But seriously how cool was it. You literally got to experience heaven. That is so wonderful. Unfortunately back to reality again (stupid non weird world). Still you had an experience of a lifetime. Savor it. Let it bask you in its wonderous juices of glory.

No not like that!

3404554 So, at the time, you didn't know it was your sister, but as she got older you started associating her face with the face in your past dream?

3404564 As I was pulled out, I wondered what might follow. In my mind, it was either aliens or Heaven. Turns out it was Heaven.

If I ever experience something like this again I hope to see aliens. And they better have tentacles!

3404582 Maybe it was alien Heaven? :pinkiegasp:

3404598 That would explain the flying mermaids.

3404605 No nothing can explain those. They were probably just a glitch in the Matrix.

Seriously though maybe next time it will take you into the city. And remember to breath. Them yoga instructors were on to something with that one

3404641 Indeed, I'll try to remember to breathe next time.

The city of Heaven actually fits with my head-canon which is that population of Heaven consists of less than a thousand people.

Sleep-Paralysis can be scary, especially when coupled with hallucinations (the hallucinations are literal dreams). The next time this happens, just stay calm and remember that the hallucinations will end and the paralysis will lift.

Sleep-Paralysis

3407308 I only sometimes sound hallucinations when I have sleep paralysis. It was really scary when I first had it, but I've kind of gotten used to them by now. What I had today however, wasn't sleep paralysis.

3407310 It gets easier to recognize dreams with time. You just need to recognize the signals. Many times, I can recognize a dream by a feeling alone. When I get that sense I instinctively test it out. Either by telekinesis or self-levitation.

In this out-of-body experience dream, I didn't even need to test it. I recognized it by the inconsistency.

Have you traveled to other dimensions, timelines, planets, etc yet? Once you do that, then I think you have your bases covered. Of course it might take you a few thousand years just to get through not even a fraction of what is out there. I think you'll be entertained for a while.

5043603 In my lucid dreams, I have done everything you mention.

Nowadays, when I have a lucid dream, I oftentimes just sit on a bench and wait for the dream to be over. There's just nothing else to do, I've tried it all. And there is no purpose. You can't take anything with you from a dream. In the end, it doesn't matter if you do anything in your dreams or not. The result is always the same, you wake up in your bed.

And you? By what method have you visited all these places? Lucid dreaming, meditation, hallucination, daydreaming? Do you believe those places to be real just because you can imagine them?

5043749 Not through lucid dreaming, although lucid dreaming is a lot of fun. :) Through guided meditation and other means. Not dreams.

But lucid dreaming is a good way to experience a lot of things. It's like a choose your own adventure type of scenario. But with dreams.

Sometimes I have dream commercials too. Do you ever experience those? They are really weird. I guess they have to pay for the dreams somehow (whoever runs the dream scene way up there in the clouds). :/

5045650 I use an adblock in RL, so I'm not exposed to enough commercials for them to seep their way into my dreams. Though, if that would be a valid argument, I know not where all the monsters, aliens and demons come from. Still, they beat commercials even though some of them want to rape me just as bad as commercials do.

Even though I have full control in my lucid dreams, I often times just let go and let things unfold 'without me'.

5045654 I need to install adblock in my mind to keep those pesky commercials managed better.

I died three times on the table and all I got was an argument about cheese and God telling me as far as shuffling off my mortal coil is concerned to shit or get off the pot.

God has allowed my continued existence and I plan to make it everyone's problem

5733015 If someone ever has a problem with you, just point at the sky.

5733044
I am unceasing force of grump fueled by righteous acrimony and adhd and nothing more

5733047 Aren't we all. Aren't we all...

5733015 I like your icon. It's a floof. :twistnerd:
