IRL Update and Follower Survey

I am without convenient access to wifi and it is awful. I can't even use my hotspot because reasons. I'm relegated to mostly my data on my phone or watching stuff on my hard drive. What this also means is that I pretty much can't update my fics (or more importantly watch videos/anime) as I please. The first world problems are real, folks.

Otherwise I'd love to get some reading suggestions. What pone fics would you recommend I check out on my free time? Any particular reason why?

Also, how was your day/week? Having problems writing your pone fic? Find yourself on a hotstreak and able to type up page after page of pone words?

I wrote more pony words in the last month than I have written since ever. It was all due to a practical joke that spun out of control and led to a second joke account getting a few short stories on it.

I feel for your first world internet problems. When I was without a stable connection for awhile I think I went through withdrawal. When you flailing your arms around wildly in the air trying to grab the wi-fis it is time to seek help.

The original story that I registered on this site for. If you are a fan of The Dresden Files this is as good as a crossover with that as it is going to get. The author does a superb job capturing Harry's voice and seamlessly blends the Dresdenverse and MLP together.

The Song of Syhlex

A short story about ye olde Equestria featuring dragons and the Dread Princess Celestia. Aside from being an entertaining story on its own. The style it is written in is quite enjoyable.

Twilight Sparkle of the Royal Guard

I'll second this recommendation. It is one of those rare one change spins off a new universe stories that doesn't forget that some events are external to the introduced change and would still happen.

The Irony of Applejack

As Applejack has always been the paladin of the group. It has killed me that so few stories have Applejack doing anything other than hanging out on the farm. This story kicks the shenanigans into high gear and even manages to do so while spending a good portion of the story on the farm and the greater Ponyville area.
