Personally, I thought it'd been darker if the zombies attacked the girl at the window, or if the zombies busted down that door once they heard the gunshot. But even this made this shudder enough. Never really watched the Walking Dead though I do know enough of the show and its universe, but god damn this makes me feel like this is going to be the game all you Walking Dead fanatics will love and enjoy.

Well i do love payday and they are working with skybound so here's hoping they can deliver a good walking dead game that can rival telltales in terms of story and atmosphere and not a shitty L4D2 clone
3388426 I have seen some small bits of gameplay. It's far from a L4D clone from what I saw. It looks to be set in Washington DC, and is more related to the comics though may incorporate some of the show as well. It looks like a single bite from the zombies will kill you, and there will be NO special zombies. Humans look to be enemies too, and players may have to decide whether to avoid them or not.
There MAY also be a suicide feature, where you kill yourself to avoid turning into one of the Walkers, but I speculate this is a rumor more than a gameplay mechanic. Besides, it's dark shit enough having to listen to that little girl get eaten. I've seen the second season of that other Walking Dead game where the girl with the glasses gets devoured under the rubble. That...kinda disturbed me, but it also intrigued me how not very often you see children die in video games until recently.
(Shudders) I listened to the girl get eaten again. It's still disturbing somehow, but that's the effect of the Walking Dead, I guess.
Hope it's not a colossal piece of shit like Survival Instinct.
I always wanted a Walking Dead MMO, similar to DayZ but in the Walking Dead universe. That would be amazing.

3388612 Well, I'm not a follower of the Walking Dead, but it is a show that gives decent scares and sudden tense moments, so it interests me that much to make me want to keep checking on the game development.

3389285 There's a psychological element to it, I think. Like how you hear noises in the forest at night, and when you're indoors listening to them you're not afraid, but if you're outside in that forest those same noises sound more terrifying because you've no window or bricks surrounding you?
I've watched a lot of scary videos before, but this one just gets me simply because I know it's the Walking Dead. It doesn't make a lot of sense and I can't quite explain, but it just does freak me a bit. If I saw the little girl getting devoured, I'm not sure if I'd be more terrified or less terrified because I'm seeing what's happening. Maybe that is it? Maybe because I'm not seeing her getting eaten my imagination is creating its own scene of how gruesome her death is?
Damn it, I'd make a great guinea pig for psychologists.
3389557 We both would! It makes it more gruesome that we don't get to so the gore. It forces us to imagine what's going on behind that door. That's what gave me chills.
