The following may be a preview of the next chapter of Oversaturation. I haven't decided whether or not to keep it in. If I do, rest assured that it will have a connection to the plot.
"Ha ha ha!" said Raspberry Fluff. "You may have summoned a mighty dragon, so-called Queen of Games, but my goblin horde has grown far too great for your meager defenses!" She thrust out a hand. "Go, my minions! Swarm her and take out her remaining life points!"
The goblins scrambled over one another, a tide of green flesh yammering and cursing as they rushed towards the Queen.
Her chuckle cut through the din like a knife through soft cheese, which was appropriate, given the smell. "I cast Fog."
"What!?" Fluff's eyes bugged out as all-consuming whiteness covered the battlefield. "No!"
"Yes," said the Queen. "Your goblin horde may be vast, Fluff, but they can't hurt what they can't find, and this thick forest mist will ensure that they never get close to me."
"That may be the case this turn," Fluff snarled, "but next turn, they'll tear you apart!"
The mists cleared, revealing the Queen standing confident, arms crossed, wings outstretched, hair floating in her sheer pharaonic glory. "You aren't going to get another turn. Atarka, World Render! Attack her directly! Consuming Flames!"
The enormous creature raised its antlered head, opened its ravenous maw, and belched forth a tremendous gout of dragonfire.
The goblins fled for their lives as Raspberry Fluff writhed in the greenish flames. "Nooooo!"
The Queen's smile didn't shift, even as Atarka swallowed her opponent whole. "Sometimes, Raspberry, it's a matter of quality, not quantity."
Blue Oyster groaned. "Okay, neither of you is ever allowed to watch any anime again. Ever."
Mixing Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh! is a bannable offense, FoME.

On the contrary! As one with a habit of playing his Dimir Aqueducts in defense mode, I find this hilarious. Even if Yu-Gi-Oh! was created to be a pale imitation of MtG, the anime does provide a healthy dose of delicious ham that is sadly missing from most Magic games.
The actual Yu-Gi-Oh! card game is a mess, though. I won't argue with that.
If she wanted to speed blitz she should have used Lightsworn or Blackwing creatures. Goblins aren't that impressive.
This reminds me of some of the games I've played with a friend of mine. Both the overdramatic hamminess, and the smug countering of the enemy's finishing blow. Though he could never get the dramatic wind to work right...
Tangentially related, how stoked are you for BFZ on a scale of to ?
Lol, Yu-esr-oh.
3381193 I actually like playing Yu-gi-oh from time to time. It's elemental system isn't as needlessly necessary to understand intrinsically.

I have no idea what you're talking about. This is clearly Hocus Pocus: the Get-Together.
(Also, gentle reminder that next month will see a return to the plane that gave Magic Trap cards.)

Some people panic when they start sprouting additional limbs. Ditzy Doo is not most people.
Okay, maybe the first time.

They are if you have sufficient Mafia connections.

My playgroup tends towards more "Why would you do that?" sorts of interactions, though we do have fun pointing especially appropriate or bizarre flavor moments.
Also, I'd put my enthusiasm at .
If you're giving Blue Oyster speaking lines, a million bonus points if at some point she's set on fire.
Well, we know now what Ditzy's contribution will be: she'll be Gary 21 from Venture Bros.
3381599 That sounds like an appropriate level of hype
I take it that this is what I was being blamed for? I approve! Mmm, delicious ham and cheese…

Do the fires of righteous indignation count?
I'm sorry, but:
Since the card (Atarka) is not a haste card, this means it has been on the battlefield for a turn, and that it would do 12 damage (Assuming no flying defenders) was known a turn ago. Should not have any surprise that when the fog was cast (which I'm assuming stopped an attack that would otherwise have killed her), the game was lost. Fluff should not have expected a next turn.

They were deliberately hamming it up for maximum effect. Minor concerns like being dead on board pale in comparison to having fun.
