A Cover Art Preview and some Music · 12:01am Sep 2nd, 2015
Now that "The Draconequus with the Dragon Tattoo" is complete, here's a preview of my cover art for my next story "The Ponies who Played with Fire."
I'm not going to reveal what the plot is about yet, but I am going to share some music that I've come to think of as sort of the story's theme song. Granted not all the lyrics fit, but quite a few of them do. (Though exactly how they fit, you'll have to either guess or wait until the story is posted.) Enjoy and feel free to speculate. Or just enjoy.

First, that cover art is awesome and I love it to bits. Not only are you an amazing artist, but your COLORING IS SPOT ON. COLORING IS SO HARD. HOW DO YOU DO IT, I DON'T UNDERSTAND. IT'S SO HARD. How do you do it so smoothly?!?
And now that I've read the ending, I listened to the song. 'Course, I couldn't catch all the lyrics, so I looked them up. Hmmm...This is tricky. Allow me to give this a shot.
Overall, the song makes me think of TDwTDT's ending and Discord. So he thinks Fluttershy's head over hooves for Big Mac, and he feels heartbroken and maybe even a little angry at himself and the world. Overall, I have a feeling that in retaliation to his assumptions and brokenhearted feelings, he will try to be who he once was...A Draconequus messing with ponies and causing chaos everywhere for his own amusement.
This lyric seems to me to refer to the fact that Discord knows he's different...And it's why he thinks Fluttershy doesn't like him, and it's why he makes himself stand out more with tattoos and whatnot. He highlights his differences as a way to get ponies to back off, and so he can hide what truly makes him different...And maybe he'll toy with Fluttershy a little bit now that he's assuming they're over and done with, hence the 'game' part. He won't enjoy it though.
This part's trickier. The first part seems to refer to Discord possibly causing chaos everywhere, but then there's the whole 'justice' part, which is what your entire fic was about--Discord and Fluttershy figuring out what really happened to Applejack so they could bring justice to the Apple Family and take the murderer down. And the last line..."The world is corrupted and the strong take the weak". Hmm. Well, the evil of the windigo/changeling dudes are the corruption, or just the darkness of the world in general...Maybe Discord's going to take something a little too far as well?
But the story can't just be about Discord going crazy, because there's the whole windigo/changeling mystery, and Discord's not who he used to be. And even if he was, he's not evil. Just a prankster. But still. Discord isn't an antagonist anymore.
"Your freedom's a joke." This makes me think of Discord's unhappiness. He gained his freedom back by helping Fluttershy, but it's no good. He ain't happy, but he thinks this is his 'managed future', if you will. He's gonna be free, but he's gonna be alone. Lyfe sux 4 Discord. "The less that you know the more you fall into place." Well, this IS a mystery fic. So that fits. But this whole story is gonna start on a misunderstanding between Discord and Fluttershy, anyway. Well, Discord making an assumption that is. He doesn't know the whole story.
So basically, I analyzed this song way too much and I have no idea what's going on. *throws paper in the air*

Discord seems even more menacing and mysterious than he was portrayed before, but that's what I like about the love interest of the main character in my stories. They always tend to be my favourite character when I'm reading a good Adventure/Fantasy-Romance novel, and Discord in this fanfic reminds me of those kinds of guys.
- but hey I LOVED the cliff-hanger at the end. 
I have to say I cannot wait now for this fanfic. You didn't end the story as I expected you would - honestly I don't know what I expected

*shrugs* Just practice I guess. I've liked drawing and coloring ever since I was little so I've been doing it for a while.
And as for your analysis of the song...
*whistles* I don't want to give away to much of the plot just yet, but several of your guesses ( though I won't say which ones) hit pretty close to the mark. I'm impressed.

I just feel that I wasn't giving you guys enough credit when I worried that those final chapters were going to ruin the whole story for a lot of people, and that through that I wasn't really giving you guys the respect you deserve, if that makes sense.
