Seven years ago, Sober and I started posting chapters of No Longer Displaced. It's hard to believe it has already been that long, but it's not hard to recognize the profound impact writing that story had on my life. Sober and I randomly hurled our characters into a chat, kept experimenting with those interactions, and within a

    Eyyyy, the 28th.

A year ago, Sober and I finished the NLA publication run. It happened to coincide with my orbit day.

Here's to another year of such an amazing, motivating friendship.

Been working on a website for the No Longer stories, and it's looking quite clean. HTML has come a long way with CSS. :3

    BronyCon 2019: Into the Storm

Hi there! Been a bit! I'll be at BronyCon. For some reason, the convention gave me a panel. It's Physicists Invade Equestria in the Hall of the Moon from 5-6 PM on Thursday. Come on by for some lighthearted science if you're down for it.

And don't worry, I have a nice slip out point for those who want to experience the line for opening ceremonies.

Monday Update! Why not? · 5:55pm Aug 31st, 2015

Admittedly, my weekend was utter shit. There really isn't a way to describe the strings of calamity that descended upon my soul during the time period from Friday afternoon until Sunday finally died. Suffice it to say that it concluded with my dad having a heart attack on Sunday morning during one of his runs. The immediate aside is that he is okay. He has a fairly unusual heart condition that he should have honestly died from the first time it happened. Thankfully, he works at a hospital and received a defib shock within about 30 seconds of going down. Now, he's got an automatic one implanted in his chest, so the biggest concern was if he had a concussion from the fall. Nonetheless, it was the capstone of drama in the gauntlet that was.

On the plus side, I threw words upon the page. I think I'm getting excited to wrap up the 3rd Arc of A State of Darkness. There are four remaining installments planned, for which I use the word loosely because this story hasn't really had a concrete outline. I have been asked on several occasions by various folks if I plan to write a 4th, and the answer is still I don't know. I think Installment 26 will yield a fairly natural conclusion to the chain of events that was started back in January. While the three arcs have followed different developments, they are all connected, and I don't foresee a 4th one doing that unless I decide to up and write a straight-out war. Frankly, that sounds pretty boring, so I probably won't do that unless I have some crazy idea pop up. The benefit of ASoD is that it does have the capability to run as a modular story. I can come back and add more later, or I can opt to just create a new tale -- something like a sequel of arcs. Regardless, I think that once I finish Installment 26, I'll probably go into a bit of hiatus where it pertains to writing. I have to look for a new job, and honestly, the emotional drain of attempting to lure new readers has been kind of a pain in the ass.

Negative stuff aside, I am really excited for the final four 3rd Arc chapters. For those that have followed the series, I am really hoping that I just blow your collective minds.
