Prompt request: How to dun Goofed: Sherriff's Office Edition

As some of you might have already heard (or promoted), Estee is doing a contest. And not any contest but a one that both expects strange and out-there crossover ideas as well as (hopefully) doesn't give a leg up to those who write stories of high drama or deep romance but instead focuses

Alphabittle and Bridlewood - Reading between the lines of the Gen 5 Movie

Alphabittle may be the named character in the new MLP movie with the least direct characterization. Compared to the CEO of arguably the earth pony city's biggest company and the literal queen of the Pegasi, being the owner of a local teahouse immediately leaves him behind the other two side pony faction 'leaders' just in terms of impact, reach and presumably backstory. All we really learn about

    IT'S ALIIIIIIIIVE

Two in Exile has a new chapter.
And it took me only 23 months less than two years to finish it.

Sunny Days has threatened to motivate me into a weekly update schedule, so let's hope the next chapter will come out before the end of the year month.

Through Ashes And Fire - Deleted scene from Chapter 2 (because it just didn't fit in properly) · 4:11pm Aug 30th, 2015

"Sunset Shimmer, this is my sister Luna that Twilight and me told you so much about. Luna, this is my adoptive daughter Sunset Shimmer that I haven't told you anything at all about, up until now. I have to do Princess things now, you two have a nice evening." Princess Celestia smiled, waved, turned around and left in a motion so fluid and practiced even Discord himself wouldn't have been able to get a word in before she had already half disappeared around a corner and down the next hallway.

Princess Luna just gave her sister a bemused look, rolled her eyes and blew a raspberry after her rump.

Sunset looked over at the Princess of the Night, trying to put her own colors over those of the other pony. She already had a feeling that they were going to get along just fine.

"There goes the Sunbutt." Luna kept her face neutral, only glancing down at Sunset. "Thou may feel free to peruse that moniker, or any other creative names thou can come up with for Our sister. We can not promise not to tell her, as We will in fact inform her in great detail and with maybe some artistic liberty. We will, however, gladly bear all the consequences of your insubordination."

They stayed in that pose for severy seconds before they both began to tremble, finally collapsing into giggles. "Oh, thank the heavens you saw the jest in that. We have made it with many a pony over the last year, but I had hoped that at least her proclaimed daughter wouldn't have quite as many trees up her posterior."

Sunset broke into another fit of giggles, taking a few deep breaths to calm down before smirking. "You dropped the Pluralis on that last one."

"Oh dear me, the jig is up." Luna put a hoof to her chest. "It was deliberate, I can assure you. I'm quite proficient at Modern Equestrian, I just like to see how long it takes a pony to realize. That, and admittedly I still enjoy talking in the old tongue."

Sunset raised an eyebrow. "Well, I should probably tell you that it's 'stick up your butt', not a tree."

Luna rolled her eyes, waving off. "I'm quite aware of the expression. Let me assure you, I meant what I said. There are some nobles in Celestia's court and her advisors who could between them easily accomodate the whole Everfree. Picturing this has preserved my sanity in more than one conversation with them."

Sunset laughed, holding out a hoof. "Well, it's certainly nice to meet you, Princess Luna. As your sister said, I'm Sunset Shimmer. I'm sure despite her jokes she has already told you about me."

Luna smirked. "Much like myself, my sister likes to follow through entirely with many of her less physical pranks. This is honestly the first time I have even heard your name."

Sunset blinked, suddenly feeling a lot more nervous. "Oh, uhm... That's..."

Luna laughed, starting to walk towards the guest quarters. "All the more opportunity to get to know each other. Let me show you your rooms, we can talk on the way. By the way, what do you think of pet phoenixes?"

"You mean that feathered menace is still around? I used to always carry a spray bottle with me, if just to get back at her." She blinked, realizing what she'd said. "I-I mean-"

Luna laughed, slapping Sunset's back jovially. "Oh, that is gold. I think we two will get along just fine, Sunset Shimmer."

Ok, now this, This I Liked!:rainbowlaugh: Why you left it out of the mane story, I have no clue:applejackunsure: Eitehr way, this was Hilairous. just wish that I could add this post to my Favorites list!

The thing is that it would've gone between the private conversation, and the subsequent press release. I put that right behind each other for effect, and I think that putting this inbetween would have taken from it and just felt disconnected to some.

I'm glad you liked it, though. I've found it surprisingly hard sometimes to keep the balance between silly stuff like this and having a serious storyline. This was one of those times, I guess. :twilightsheepish:

3357895 I just Love Luna Shenanigans, like in Nightmare or Nyx!

3358031 Currently in the Middle of that, just finished the part where Shining realized what an Ass:rainbowlaugh:He was being To Nyx!

"Are we going to compare Nightmares?" Luna asked after a moment.

"I'd prefer not to," Sunset responded. "Some wounds... well, the scar tissue is never thick enough."

Luna nodded wisely. "Sooth. It is better that way for we never will forget and allow ourselves to forget our responsibilities again."
