Hello everyone! This time we will be doing Longest Night, Longest Day by RainbowDoubleDash. The first episode of the Lunaverse. I have thinking about doing this story for years. I am going to have so much fun doing this story.
I remember really liking this story when I first read it. Well...that view might have changed a bit. It is well written, but it has some serious problems. Serious problems. Like how it writes these new version of the Mane 6. It's just...ugh. RainbowDoubleDash didn't intend for them to come across as bad as they did. He just wanted them to be potential antagonists for later. It kinda went out of control...but this has been fixed in later stories. Thank goodness. Anyway, this story was written in the season 1-2 era and it shows. That is why it is so goofy about some things. I want to do more stories set in this era. The problem is finding a good one where the author isn't long gone...
In other news I have started a fun little challenge on the Lunaverse forum. It is based off of The Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest. The goal is to write a 100 word paragraph or sentence set in the Lunaverse that starts with "It was a dark and stormy night". It is a lot of fun.
