The state of fimfiction

Something I have wanted to get off my head recently is what I think of the current state of Fimfiction... Fimfiction is a great site, and between the quality coding and veritable infinity of stories contained within, there is no questioning why it is a success.

However, I cannot agree with some of the changes knighty has brought to the site in the recent years. Such as removing the banner, well mostly removing the banner.

When knighty removed the banner everybody thought it was just a glitch. However it was not, knighty had removed the banners and replaced them with an informative little info box on the stories. But then it changed again, leaving us with this weird tab system for user pages and the like that looks like some sort of ugly faded yellow. weird coding things like having colorless tags on some areas of the site and colorful ones on others.

Not to mention all of this has left the previously helpful 2 level toolbar feeling useless and bloated. as well as giving at an uninviting green color. I get that knighty feels the need to make the site better, and the need to make it fit his vision.

But do we really need to have all the beloved customization options we previously had taken away. Not everybody likes the ugly green thing, some of us want the banners back. At least give us a bit of customization.
