To those following Equestria Nova, I am sorry to say I am discontinuing it. In truth I took on the wrong mentality when writing it. I had decide to backhand Friendship is Magic which I am growing increasingly dissatisfied with as a series. I am also displeased with the course I had set it on for its conclusion which would have been a downer note. The biggest nail in Equestria Nova's coffin is I am completely divorcing my work from the Friendship is Magic universe. The creative choices that have been made since the beginning of Season 3 and even some decisions made in earlier seasons have not sat well with me. While the staff of the show can do what they want, but I will not saddle my work with it.
Because I am abandoning any and all connections to Friendship is Magic, I do not know if this site will accept it. Ideally, this should be a site where all My Little Pony related fanfiction can find a home, but they could very well limit it to Friendship is Magic and the related Equestria Girls universes. If the site's management does in fact have that limit, I do have other outlets at my disposal such as Fanfiction.net, the My Little Pony Lexicon, and DeviantArt. Though I do hope that being My Little Pony is all that this site requires.
As for the work itself, I have begun writing a new G1 story. This is an origin story for a new G1 continuity that takes inspiration from the television series, the comic produced in the United Kingdom, backcard stories, the Fact File also produced for the United Kingdom, and my own ideas. Characters from the comic such as the Wizard Wantall and the Weather Witch will be significant characters in this universe. The Princess Ponies, the Big Brother Ponies, and some others will also be referred to by the names given to them in the United Kingdom because I prefer those names to the names they were given in the United States.
For those who liked the "Mane 4" of Wind Whistler, Fizzy, Shady, and Gusty or the "Mish Mash Melee Quartet" as I like to call them, they will be the the main characters of this storyline. Though, there are stories that will center on other characters that might come in the future. Some ideas include Megan becoming the Weather Witch's apprentice, Gusty studying to be a nurse, and Wind Whistler embracing her talent as a singer.
I would also like to thank Davidson for giving me a reason to be a tad angry. I still grit my teeth at Demon Slayer and all its accolades and exposure. What he did to Wind Whistler in his work is still disgusting and his explanation for the G1 being as they are is still pseudo-scientific garbage, but he gave me a reason to research horses, birds, and other subjects to improve my own knowledge base for my writing.
Anyway, I'm looking to you fair reader for help. I'm looking for proofreaders and editors as well as feedback on the plot, characters, and world of my pilot story. Sazerlite has already gone through it and provided some much needed corrections. That is a freakin shame! Your story is the one that got me into pony fanfiction. It's intelligently written, intellectually mature, dark and just too hard to put down, I also don't have to worry about certain "undesirable elements" in it. I wish you wouldn't, but I know I have no business trying to convince you otherwise. I hope at the very least you won't take it down, because I know and other people will still enjoy reading it. 3353731 Those aspects will also be in my new work if not a bit stronger and better written. I will not take down Equestria Nova and I am glad there are people who enjoyed reading it. It's just not the direction I wish to take my pony writing at anymore.
