My thoughts on Zootopia · 7:47pm Aug 26th, 2015
With the new episode of MLP premiering in a few weeks, and the next Equestria Girls movie coming out next month, I'm just so nervousited for more pony. To help pass the time, I would like to discuss a certain movie coming out next year.
I consider myself a fan of animated movies. I absolutely adored Inside Out and later on, I'm looking forward to seeing The Good Dinosaur, Kung Fu Panda 3, and I might just check out that Peanuts movie. But one movie that has certainly piqued my curiosity is Disney's Zootopia.
Despite the tagline at the end, we have seen this idea done be-fur, such as in Kung Fu Panda, Shark Tale, Fritz the Cat, and most notably, Disney's awful movie Chicken Little. As much as I dread the possibility of being wrong, I do feel confident Zootopia will be an improvement over Chicken Little. After all, Disney has truly cleaned up its act recently by giving us some truly wonderful animated movies (the Planes movies not withstanding), and at the very least, it sounds like Zootopia has a better premise than Chicken Little. Basically the movie is about a rabbit on the police force who tries to prove her worth as an officer by allying with a conman fox to solve a kidnapping. That story could work so long as they don't try to force a pointless intersperse romance (again, like Chicken Little). But what do you guys think? Do you think Zootopia will be a good movie?
I'm just curious to see where they go with this
There's no way it won't have a romance. This is Disney, after all.
Aside from that, it's hard to get a read on the film just from the trailer. Could be interesting, or it could be like the other dozens of forgotten 3D kids' movies with similar stories.
THIS is (hopefully) going to be awesome.

Well, the tailer certainly looks much more promising than the trailer to the Sly Cooper movie.

No kidding! It at least looks like the game. I wouldn't be so iffy about the Sly movie if his design was even passable. That thing they call a racoon looks like it was rescued from a laboratory in Singapore.
