    Fame Doesn't Equal Quality

I have about 50 stories on my "read it later" library shelf. When I feel the need to read I tend to either search by word count (if I'm very limited by time) or by likes. There are a lot of stories that I realize are ridiculously popular by merit of being "classic" and that have been around since forever. Or they have spawned their own section of stories based off an alternate universe or

    Taking Recommendations

I tend to read a lot from my phone and iPad. Luckily this here website lets you download an entire fanfic in epub format which ends up directly in my ebook app. I'm usually reading two stories at any given time. One on my ipad and one on my iphone, literally dependent on whichever I have in my hand at any particular time.
So if you want to recommend something, message me and let me know!

Here's my guidelines:
- No more than 200k words (unless it is literally the most AWESOME story and will make my very soul cry in adoration)
- No serious homopony relationships. Simple reason is that I am straight myself and I enjoy romances that I can identify with easily. Granted, I know there aren't a lot of Male characters to choose from when shipping. Point is, I read fics where mares like mares, but when it gets physical it starts to lose me.
- Preferably no seriously dark stuff. I'm a positive and upbeat kind of guy, I enjoy laughing a lot, crying less, and feeling sad NOT AT ALL. I understand people write deep and meaningful things when they are in a bad place in life. I also understand this can speak very profoundly to people are in similarly dark places. This has and never will apply to me, I honestly just don't get like that.

The Dresden Fillies: Strange Friends

If you are unfamiliar with The Dresden Files I believe the story and its two sequels are still good enough to stand on their own, however you might not appreciate just how well both universes are represented.

Rainbooms and Royalty

What if instead of Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash was Princess Celestia's student? This story and its multiple sequels are a quite different but still faithful re-imagining of how events might have unfolded with that one change.

The Best Night Ever

Groundhogs day with ponies, nothing more needs to be said... Unless you have never seen that Bill Murray movie. If you haven't it is a time loop comedy, additional details withheld so as not to spoil.

Wild, Sweet & Cool

I'll just paste the summary from the story as there really isn't a better way to summarize it. There is no romance if you are worried about that, only two friends having fun.

After reading a book by Spitfire's personal trainer, Rainbow Dash decides that the best way to get closer to her ultimate goal of joining the Wonderbolts is to add strength training to her practices by having one of her friends ride her. However, when she decides that Twilight Sparkle is just the mare for the job, the pegasus gets a bit more than she bargained for.

Paradise

This one is both a blessing and a curse. It isn't complete and the author has long breaks between updates, though they have come back every time. It is your classic origin story for Celestia and Luna.
