I miss the days--to all my fans and supporters, you were great. I leave a ghost, honest but neglected promises, and just the tip of the worlds I wished to share...

Something Positive, Yes? A...Fairytale of sorts. The Tale of Jackal and Phoenix

So, one thing I have been doing is a lot of homebrewing and world building for my Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting, Alandria. Have a good game, a little over a year old now, going, and it really sparks my creativity. I long to reach a point where I can write stories and the like in my world, like certain others have done in the past. (Haaah, dreams.)

My Name is Jared DeZarn. I'm a Worthless Failure.

So heads up. I have had a bit more to drink than I meant to. I'm still, more or less, aware of myself. I won't be blacking out or anything. If anything, I'm kind of in a super aware state?

    *bang bang bang bang*

(Something of substance to come some other day, but I am still alive, just...a fucking idiot, as I always have been. Sorry.)

My God, He's Releasing Something New

Jaysus, I've been quiet here. In all ways, not just the writing side of life. Which sucks. I suck, yes.

Call to Help Finish the Games

So, the Games, as originally intended, are pretty much done. But that's not my fault--so I'll see them done, even if the overall exercise has been largely lost.

OK, Shaking Off the Funk · 10:26pm Aug 24th, 2015

Well, delays and all... Bronycon was pretty awesome. I mean, it's kind of hard, having been to Dragon*Con for the past two years. BC is just so tiny, by comparison! But in a way, that was nice. I never really felt in a rush, exactly, and got to see most of what I wanted.

If I go next year (and now that it's in July, I very well might!), I do hope to spend more time in Quills and Sofas. I only managed to pop in a couple times and that was kind of lame. Still, overall, I enjoyed it. It was neat to actually be in a large gathering of the community in a non-digital manner. Made some new friends, met some awesome peeps, and just had a good time all around. But I definitely hope to actually spend some time with people I barely managed to say hi to, this year.

In other news, I've been kind of off-kilter since getting back. I took the week after that con off, but between late nights, tight travel and whatnot, I ended up just being wore out, and catching whatever my mother had. So since then, I've been just...saying 'not interested' in writing is too harsh. And I don't believe in writer's block. I've put a few words down, done a lot of thinking and planning on a few things. But every time I tried and write, I just...didn't want to, more than I wanted to. It was weird. So, gaming and reading and doing some other necessary things in reality (got back to cooking, for instance, which I missed).

But now I'm tired of it. My projects call out to me and I feel the words stirring again. A buddy of mine has commished a seriously different sort of thing from me, and progress on that was going well before con. So I'm raring to get back at that. Also, Merc has been more than patient, so that's right on there. Those two things should move pretty quick, and I need to start getting more stuff out here.

Right below that is the Games (hope that's going well for everyone!), and then another couple collab pieces. So, game time. Gonna do some more solo work tonight to break the rust, then back on not being a jackass to my friends. Let's go go go!

Aside from me messaging you on skype every day like an unbearable faggot, at least.
