Hey there, so it's secret that I enjoy simple stories with simple writing. Quick enjoyable fluff, you could say.
But many times I want something with depth of flavor beyond one note. Something with world-building and imaginative prose to satisfy the appetite.
Something like this:
You may have read PresentPerfect's interview with xjuggernaughtx way back when, or know him from his irreverent comedy series Cheerilee's Thousand but here he drops all pretense of funny with a dark and serious take on the making of the sirens, Adagio specifically.
There is nothing funny going on here. There is nothing happy going on here. There conflict, greed, war, manipulation, and suffering.
And sometimes that is what you want. You don't what the cheap Hershey's bar seated first thing in the feature boxcandy aisle. A fake chocolate flavored product packed with so much sugar and cheap filler that you wonder how they have the gall to label it chocolate.
No, some nights call for the real deal. And Resolution is the real deal.
And like the best chocolate...
It's dark.
It's rich.
And it is so, so delightfully bitter.
