That would just be adorable.

Yay to not only to more Discord next season, but the possibility that Discord has mom and we might meet her!!!
The Luna/Discord comic might be hinting that we might meet her in the show or comic soon
It would be so funny if she randomly invited herself to Discord's place and introduces herself to Fluttershy. She knows how much her son is crushin on Discord so she pranks him by forcing him and Fluttershy to make her happy and not destroy Ponyville. But when they almost agree to her demands, she laughs and tells them it was just the prank. But in the end, she genuinely likes Fluttershy and tells Discord to be honest with his feelings.
That would be taking their relationship to a new level: the boyfriend gets to meet the parents. Discord is stepping it up! It would be cute if Discord tries to make a good impression and Fluttershy's mom is very accepting him despite his flaws
Anyway, I bet his mom is hilarious
OR we could be meeting, possibly, Fluttershy's mother? Wouldn't it be so cute if Fluttershy really wanted to introduce her mom to Discord?!

Well, I have no idea if this actually means if Discord has a mom or not (though Long Ma would be a great play on words if he did), de Lancie could literally just mean he has to "keep mum." OTOH, this is the man that is notorious for blurting out spoilers in rooms full of people. He keeps mentioning glue on Twitter but I doubt things would ever get THAT dark.
It would probably make an interesting fanfic at least if Discord's mom didn't approve of him being friends with a pony.

I know, his tweet is not guaranteeing something as big as this, he probably meant "Keep it hush hush" in a joking way. But hey, it never hurts to dream of the show finally introducing us Discord's mom and Fluttershy's mom.

Also, when I checked his twitter feed (looking for the glue comments... couldn't find them, lots of talk of cannibals and tattoos though) I found that he said "mum's the word" when announcing that he'd be going to Vegas for the unveiling of a new Star Trek game that Q is part of. So... I think we can discard the notion that "mum's the word" is a hint about Discord's mother appearing, as it appears to be just a thing he says when he's saying something vaguely spoilery. No one's mother had anything to do with the Star Trek game.

Yeah I saw the date, I purely went hunting for it because someone said something about rumours of his mom, but since you say he uses the term "keep mum" about other things then it's likely about something else.
The glue comments are in @ replies to people and similar to what you mentioned you heard him say at Bronycon.
