I would DIE to get Edward Norton, Kevin Spacey, or Gary Oldman on the show. They're 3 of my all-time favorite actors. As for my favorite pony, that would be Twilight. She'll always be my waifu... My favorite episode is a hard one, but some of my personal favorites are The Cutie Mark Chronicles, It's About Time, Sisterhooves Social, and Amending Fences. But if you want some detail, then fine. Here's how Rainbow Dash bullies Fluttershy:
"Dragonshy", when she gave her a hard time all the way to the dragon's cave (and ended up being the one to fuck things up herself.
"Hurricane Fluttershy", when she insisted on coercing Fluttershy into helping with a twister she didn't even need to be a part of in the first place, just to beat some stupid record.
"The Crystal Empire", when she made her do the jousting event and punted her 50 feet into the air, for basically no good reason (she could have asked anypony else).
"Sonic Rainboom", when she kept screaming at her just to make her cheer better.
"Dragon Quest", when she tried to drag Fluttershy out of her house just to see the creatures Dash knows FULLY WELL she's afraid of (and for that, she deserved the ass-kicking she got).
"Rainbow Rocks", when she ignored Fluttershy's suggestions for songs and focused on the crap she wrote to stroke her own ego.
"Bats!", where she, and pretty much everyone, forced her into the situation that turned her into a
bloodfruit-sucking monster."Trade Ya!", where she almost traded her friend's services (and essentially, her friend, period, as in "childhood friend"), for a book.
It is for these reasons, and many others, that Rainbow Dash is my least favorite of the Six. At best, she is enormously overrated. At worst, she's a Mary Sue who gets away with everything and never has to answer to her own stupid, often illegal, actions.
But again, I don't want to get into an argument. I'll just end up freaking out and attacking everyone, and I'll end up being the bad guy again. If I keep going, that's exactly what will happen.

Ah yes, a prime example. I must agree with you on this one.
However...
If this wasn't a kids show all about friendship on it's....7th episode, then I would have probably Sided on Rainbow dash on that one. I mean, Fluttershy was downright terrified, and was pretty much doing everything she could do to get out of it. If it was me, I certainly wouldn't have expected to see her turn around a pwn that dragon like that.
At the same time... that pwnage was actually pretty unrealistic. But that is besides the point.
If it were not for Rainbow Dash then, that episode's lesson would have had far less of an impact. I'll use this excuse, and I'll probably only get to use it once, but here it goes:
Rainbow Dash learnt a lesson here. That was, after all, the whole point of the episode. I'll be she won't do it again.
Interesting perspective. It's been a while since I've watched that one, so please excuse me if I am not 100% accurate. But, I think that Rainbow Dash actually had the right idea here. Fluttershy has a problem. She has an extremely bad case of social anxiety-- something that is extremely dangerous, and needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Rainbow actually managed to convince Fluttershy to give it a go. And, after all, is this episode all about the hurricane? No. It's about Fluttershy getting the determination to accomplish what she thought was impossible.
And guess what? She did it. And, it wouldn't have happened without Rainbow Dash.
Nocking a main character on a kid's cartoon show that never has had a character die or even draw blood, 50 feet into the air is something that I would probably place in the 'comic relief' class. Was Fluttershy hurt?
I think that whole scene was more of a joke. Not entirely serious. I'd say that everyone acted a little out-of-character, even.
Again, that was something that spawned perhaps one of the brony fandom's greatest memes. When the writers made that, they weren't thinking "We're going to make RD mean towards Fluttershy" they were thinking "This is gonna be funny".
Actually, let me explain something. The reason I'm using this 'not what was intended in this scene' is because I am trying to excuse RD's character. Now, the show is the sole provider of what information we have on her character, but I would say that it is now always true to what the characters would be in real life. Characters actions are deliberately altered throughout scenes depending on the stakes and atmosphere, and so cannot always be compared to each other and to real life. Moving on.
You know, I think I might give you that one. However, what was it that RD said? She said something about watching the butterflies with Flutters, and that she owed her. Now, I'm no expert, but I'd say that Rainbow dash is just as effected by frilly and cute things as Fluttershy is by scary things. It's one of the great things that one can delve into her character with. It's a situation that is deep, and rooted among feelings of vulnerability and helplessness.
Ass-kicking? Ah... that. A buck to the chest. I ought to call you on that hipocracy. In real life, that'd probably be close to fatal.
Wait! I'm getting an incoming message from Starfleet! It reads "I know just the song. Fluttershy's written a really great one." It goes on to read that Rainbow Dash, does indeed, play Fluttershy's song instead of her own!
Completely unfair. While you do acknowledge everyone else, I would say that the CLEAR offender in that story was Applejack, and to a lesser extent, Twilight.
I have to give that one to you. That episode has to be one of the most horrible ever written, considering that it nearly sold off the element of kindness into slave labor. While I understand blaming RD for this, I'd say just poor writing.
It seems to me that I enjoy characters that are not perfect, but interesting. Something that I've noticed time and time again.
I think that Rainbow Dash is often not written correctly. The writers give her a sort of... blunt air about her. That's not who Rainbow Dash is, in my mind. She is the element of loyalty, that has to count for something.
But sometimes, as far as the show is concerned, it doesn't.
I can say one thing, though, with absolute certainty. My Little Pony would not be what it is today without her.
I don't expect much of a reply to this, as you said you didn't want to get involved in an argument. But I still would love to discuss the differing perspectives with you. Upon revision of this, there is lots more I would love to say, but I don't think it'd be necessary to mention it unless you do.

I've probably read too many amazing fanfictions about Rainbow Dash in the past months, and my opinions of her character have definitely been warped.
Fluttershy used to be my favorite, but then I realized just how great of a character Rainbow Dash could be. Not what she is. What she could be.
I guess I found all that potential interesting. I found it intriguing. I found that it was beautiful.
Perhaps you see a blunt, brash, mean mare. But what I see, is the element of loyalty. A friend who will never give up on a friend, no matter the chances, or effort. I see a mare with determination...
Determination... and potential.
P.S I apologize for the mess of a comment. Sometimes, as I write a comment, my opinion changes. As you read through this comment, you can see it changing, time, and time over. This has happened to me before, more than I would like, and it usually ends up with me retracting back to my original statement.

3331570 As I said, I know what the episode was supposed to be. It was an allegory for pet death. In fact, if Tank had died, this would have been the best episode ever written. But he's alive. That one detail soured the whole episode and made it one of the worst ever made. Period.

That's the problem. She did it again. Several times. As I have already outlined.
Wrong. Fluttershy did it to improve herself, not because Dash pushed her into it. True, she pushed her, but that wasn't the main reason. She figured out her problem on her own, and strove to fix it herself. That's why I loved that episode; she improved herself for her own sake, and showed a hidden strength that no one ever credits her for. More to the point, if a friend of yours needs to get to the bottom of a staircase in the dark, do you guide them down, or push them down? Tough love doesn't work on Fluttershy, and if Dash doesn't know it by now, they shouldn't be friends. She never takes her feelings into account; with Dash, it's always "ME, ME, ME".
Incidentally, I'm working on a one-shot based on that assessment.
Still no excuse. I hate it when they use Fluttershy as a joke character. Aside from Pinkie Pie (which works much better, anyway), she's the brunt of more jokes than any of the Six. And Dash could have picked anyone else to do the event with, someone that she knew wouldn't be too badly hurt or would be able to handle it easier. But she went with Fluttershy because she knew she could bully her into doing it. She went the easy way, which is another thing I don't like about Dash. She's lazy.
The meme is the only good part of that. And again, no excuse to make Fluttershy the punchline of a joke. In fact, by that logic, this was less about Dash bullying her and more about the writers bullying her; not writing her feelings doesn't mean she never had them. Good joke. Bad writing.
That's bullshit. Butterflies don't eat ponies whole. Fluttershy has a legitimate reason to be afraid of dragons. If Dash were afraid of butterflies (which has never been said), then I would let up on her (but she would also be a hypocrite for being tough in the face of danger but scared of a harmless insect). But she doesn't. She only wanted Fluttershy at the dragon migration because she felt she was owed. Again, only looking out for herself. Not caring about how Fluttershy felt at all.
Also, how am I the hypocrite? Fluttershy was backed into a corner and used force as a last resort, something she rarely does. Dash ALWAYS uses force. Not the same thing.
She only did it at the last possible second, and you know it. The wise-assery is not necessary.
Bandwagon. It counts. To a significantly lesser degree, maybe, but it counts.
Like I said, I want to be able to discuss this calmly and logically, but this whole reply probably defeats that purpose. In fact, I feel I must apologize for whatever was said here; I'm sure I must have sounded like a jerk at least once. This is why I didn't want to reply, not because I didn't think you deserved one, but because I couldn't give one without being an asshole.
You like Rainbow Dash. That's fine. But I only go by what the show has given us, not by what they could have given us. Yes, she has the potential to be a better character. But it's been four and a half seasons. If she hasn't improved by now (which I have given my arguments as to how she hasn't), she never will.
I can give multiple arguments for how Fluttershy is a superior character (and I've given several in a separate post) and not be just a mindless drooling FlutterFan (unfortunately, they do exist
), but that's another argument. My point is, the show has given me no legitimate reason to like Rainbow Dash (no, the Sonic Rainboom doesn't count; they would have gotten their cutie marks eventually). Meanwhile, Fluttershy continues to give me reasons to love her as a character, and defend her when she comes under scrutiny. Just as you have done so with Rainbow Dash.
As I said, at best, she's overrated. At worst, she's the worst character of the Six. But I've expended my welcome on the subject, and if it hasn't already, I will stop this argument before it turns ugly. As much as I want to defend my position, I've let things get out of hand in arguments before, and I won't risk that happening again.
