I got a devious idea for a new chapter of Pound and Pumpkin tales. · 6:31am Aug 16th, 2015
powerpony gave me a suggestion to have the two of them meet Discord. At first I couldn't think of where to include him, but then IDEA! I had a chapter planned for Fluttershy's birthday where the two pull pranks that go too far and are only fun for them.
Now I'm scrapping the original idea. What happens when you mix a bored draconeques, with two rambunctious, impulsive kids? A recipe for chaos. 
Discord sees them trying to pull of a lame prank, and in an effort to relive his boredom he decides to see just what happens when you give two young children a small taste of reality warping powers. He gives them a small sliver of his power, telling them to go nuts with it.
Are you scared yet?

I already have most of it planned out in my head. Fluttershy finds their antics hilarious, and Twilight is understandably worried. Think of it like something akin to that episode where everybody fought in their dreams to fight that dark thing of Luna's (haven't seen the episode yet, but I do know it has PRINCESS BIG MAC!)
They start out small, and then as they experiment they start really having a blast, putting on one heck of a show. As fitting for a chapter with Discord, this is going to be the most awesome chapter of the series.
BUUUUUTTT... I still have a chapter I'm finishing up. Unfortunately it takes place immediately after the runaway chapter, so I can't just skip it.
But I'll do my best to hurry up and get it done so I can get to this awesome chapter.

3324120 Trust me. It's gonna be so flipping awesome what they do. You're basically giving kids the power to turn their daydreams into reality, and they put on quite a show. Of course, kids and unlimited power don't mix well for too long.

3324167 Well, technically it's not their fault they get cocky. For them it's just about playtime. However, when their antics attract praise and cries for more that's when they start getting arrogant about the whole thing, so kids and unlimited power PLUS others egging them on is a bad mixture.

That sounds awesome ... ya know, I've heard some theories that the twins were somehow affected by Discord in the womb, and that's at least part of why they're a Pegasus and Unicorn ... while that's probably not the case in this story, it might be an in-universe rumor.
