The Truth about Discord · 8:17am Aug 12th, 2015
I know I haven't posted anything in ages, but I've been rather busy lately...BUT I do have this and it is Canon to the story. Enjoy
"You can't be serious..." Discord mumbled as he read over the scroll.
"I have never been more serious in my life." Starswirl answered wearily from his desk. The old wizard shook slighlty as he spoke, wheezing with each word.
"But..."
"My visions have never been wrong my friend...This is the way things must be. Only you...only you can make things right" he stood slowly, leaning against his staff and giving his oldest friend his best smile.
"I am old...My bones are weary and my body no longer obeys me...Now is the time..." Starswirl hunched over, coughing into his fist.
"Surely I can..." Discord began, chaos swirling about his hand. Starswirl shook his head, finally coming out of his coughing fit.
"Either you can do it, or you can wait for the poison to snuff out what remains of my life. I'd rather this be over quickly..."
Discord slowly rolled up the scroll, tucking it into his belt and surrounding himself in chaos.
"Will there be a happy ending?" Discord asked for the last time. Starswirl smiled, putting his hand upon Discord's shoulder.
"The story never ends my friend...but just this once...it will end happily." the wizard slumped against him, Discord shaking with his fist buried in the old mans chest. He steeled himself, sending a spike of chaos to his heart, lungs, and brain, silencing his friend forever.
He wrapped his arm around the wizard, gently setting him back down in his chair before marching out of the library. At most he would have an hour before the body was discovered. One hour before Discord the kindly madman would be no more.
One hour to convince Celly...
Updating stories soon hopefully!
"Because, Pinkie, I'm not the hero Equestria deserves, I'm the hero--"
SLAP
"Don't you dare finish that line."
XD
I'm still not sure how I feel about this. It seemed pretty clear that Discord was helping them (in a way), but Discord did some pretty bad shit, and accepting those things In the name of the greater good will be a hard one to swallow.
Moral ambiguity is da best!
