BronyCon is a wrap! · 3:30am Aug 10th, 2015
And oh what a time it was! So very different from 2012 when I was just starting out in the fandom and was wandering through the Meadowlands looking vaguely lost and having only a very few people to look forward to seeing. Baltimore was night and day in that regard; I met so many wonderful people in Quills and Sofas (thanks, AppleJinx!) that to even begin to list them will put me at distinct risk of forgetting one of you and causing a slight, so I'm not going to try because I am a paranoid lunatic. Special shout-outs to my co-panelists Bookplayer, Sunchaser, Aquaman, Scoots2, ABagOfVicodin, GaryOak, Cap'n Chryssalid and TotallyNotABrony, and special further thanks to everyone who attended my panels in the audience because you make the difference between me thinking of myself as a presumptuous babbling idiot and a presumptuous babbling idiot whose opinions might actually mean something, and I'd far rather be the latter. Thank you all for a great time.
And Bad Horse, you can spank my pony anytime.
Good on ya, man.
Glad to hear you had fun.
I look forward to finally bronyconning in 2016
Alas, pehaps next year...
Glad you had fun! It's always great to go to these things!
Must have been nice... NOT being alone
Twas fun on dinnering and other talking, yes! Thanks for a much good time!

Need a chat or virtual hugs?
My legs really hurt, but as you said, it was worth it to meet all of these authors I had only previously known as words on a screen. It really (ironically)humanized the entire FimFiction experience for me.
I met a lot of deviantartists and such, but unfortunately I ran into none of you fimfic people!
Probably because I sucked at keeping a schedule >.< I was in the art room all day @_@
But glad you enjoyed it! I really need to plan better next year! (this was my first one, and a lot better than I expected)
Hey, no one else but Shining gets to spank the royal cadance tushie. It's his job, and he takes it seriously.
It was great talking to you over dinner on Saturday.
Ah, you weren't babbling. you were fine :)

Thank you. I retroactively edit all my memories of social interaction in the least-flattering-to-me light possible, so it is good to hear that.
I can only echo your sentiments here-- this was a whole lot of fun, none the least of which was due to meeting a bunch of y'all!
3308428 I am not sure. Thank you, though~
(Sorry if it seemed a bit selfish to say that at first. The whole thing just brought up a lot of bad feelings
I'm glad you had fun! I'm also glad I got to see you at some of the West Coast cons. It makes it easier to have fun-by-proxy.
Congratulations, by the way, on your Writeoff medal! It's super great that it got you wording again!
3309773
No worries, mate. Hope you feel better and let me know if there's any way I can help effect it!
3309950 Thank you~
3309808
Thanks! And yes, I think it's helping me start to work on Pony again.
3308464 Hmm. Maybe I should've attended instead of hiring that old guy to impersonate me again.
3311333
I loved that old guy! Don't tell me he's not the real you!
It was amazing meeting you again and having you on the comedy panel. Thanks so much for being part of it! 'Twas great fun, and I hope to see you and panel with you again at future cons!
Also, God mode meat spigot dinner.
3311333
He did a great job. I hope you paid him well.
3308672
He should've mentioned what Foxley and I did to Cadey while he was in the bathroom.
3311333
3311557
Oh dear...
3313816
It was quite something.
3313910
3311469, 3311333
I especially enjoyed that old guy's heroic chin. Bad Horse, please compliment your body double on his heroic chin.
3308820
Yah, Saturday's dinner was great!
3308464
Humanization? So the convention experience is like "Equestria Girls"?
3308486
Yeah, the FiMFic headquarters was Quills and Sofas, and we are forever in AppleJinx's debt for setting that up.
3308345, 3308352
Thanks!
3308365, 3308383
Thinking of Baltimore? Or some other con?
3314673
Yes. Just like EqG transformed our favorite ponies into bobble headed toys, it did much the same for the fandom personalities I only previously knew by their avatars or voices.
3308411
Yah, it was great doing dinner! Sorry if I was quiet during the time of; my dinner conversational style is always very quiet and listeny rather than outgoing.
3314484
3314680 cons I plan to hit up in next 365 days (in order)
EQLA (Orange County)
Nightmare Nights (Dallas)
Pacific Pony Con (San Diego)
Babscon (San Fransisco)
Everfree Northwest (Seattle)
BronyCon (Baltimore)
I'll hit more in I can.
3314684
Worry not! You were busy demolishing all that seafood, I know. There was a looooot of it.
3314706 Unless something goes wrong I'll be at Nightmare Nights, but that'll probably be the only one until next year.
It'd be nice to have a little more known fimfic presence attending it, in a couple years of going I've only met three authors there.
3314676 aaaaahhhh, then I will definitely have to go there next time!
3314680
Baltimore yes. I have somewhat considered Everfree Northwest, or Babscon, but they are just too far out for me. Well, we'll see, anyway.
The one year I decide not to go because the Orioles weren't at home in Camden Yards and I miss my chance to meet you and Cold in Gardez...
3317905
Well, there's a non-zero chance it might happen again next year, but it'll be another half a year before I can actually make plans like that.
3318096
I'll start saving my pennies/selling my internal organs in hope of making the trip.
3318321
Just don't get rid of the ones that help you write!
3318363
Ample room for any number of jokes in that comment.
