Well, I Finally Got Tails of Equestria

Hey... again hopefully I’ll be around more this time but we’ll see.

So, you all know I love me some Tabletop RPG, well last week a I got my little niece a set of dice to get her into the hobby and just today finally got Tails.

I’m pretty excited, I’m sure it’ll be fun... I hope I don’t screw up GMing like I normally do but it’s a simple enough game.

    I’m More Than Annoyed

    Well, I’m more than annoyed.

The new Shadowrun matrix book Kill Code has been announced and it had some input from the community.

That’s good, the bad is one particular member.

I’ve ranted before so you probably know where I’m going, Bamce, the stupidest, worst, mod ever, well now he’s officially in a book.

    Bright Again

I already complained about this but seriously, screw the movie.

The sequel is coming, and a lot of people have the same response, but I’m the one that gets targeted for saying it?

Screw Bright, you are not Shadowrun, you will never be Shadowrun, and if I ran the Union I would time out or ban anyone who brings it up without giving them an actual connection to a good series.

Freaking Bright, I am SICK of Bright

So who here actually knows about Bright?

Long story short it’s a generic buddy cop movie from Netflix starring William Smith.

    F:yay:CK THIS CRAPPY MOVIE!

It’s a buddy cop movie, but it has a gimmick, they shove fantasy in because, “Now it’s something special!”

    Problem is they explain NOTHING!

Now, why does this movie just piss me the hell off? Because Shadowrun.

Man, I’ve Been Gone Too Long...

What is this like the fifth time I’m saying that?

What can I say? I was looking at a few of my old FoE PnP characters, that drew me to the FoE Subreddit, and that linked me back here.

Man, my last blog was forever ago and it was just complaining about Shadowrun groups...

PSA: Don't Get Re;Birth on Steam · 6:49pm Aug 5th, 2015

I'm in no way, shape, or form saying don't get Hyperdiminsion Neptunia, just not this version.

For those of you who remember, I recently asked if I should get the Japanese Bundle mostly because I wanted this, it is not a good port.

First off, it's a port of the PSP remake so they changed some things.

The opening scene of the goddesses choosing to gang up on Purple Heart was changed from a battle scene to just them talking is the main one that I saw (I'll get to why in a few moments) which for the PSP I understand but this isn't a PSP, this isn't mobile, this is a computer, these things could no doubt handle the orignal.

The full screen mode just adds clouds around the screen so that it looks like a PSP.

Most importantly, the control's, just god the control's, I'm sorry but I just cannot defend this at all.

They tried to make the keyboard like a PSP, W,A,S,D, is the left joystick, the arrow keys are the D-Pad, the NUM pad is the second joystick, the buttons are I,O,K, and L, I couldn't fully figure everything out because it was just a mess that I couldn't even handle enough to get to the first dungeon.

I thought it was THAT bad.

They really flubbed this up, I have no problem with the changes if you pick it up for the PSP they make sense, but when ported they could have changed it.

Simply adding mouse support would have made it so much better, actually giving it full screen just should have been, using the orignal for the base instead of the PSP.

I got it for ten bucks from the Humble Bundle, and I feel like I got a bad deal, if you wanna play it (which I do recommend if you enjoy stupid off the wall humor, 4th wall breaks, video game in-jokes, and making fun of the ridiculous nature of the console wars) just hunt down the orignal PS3 version, or the PSP one.

Again, the changes make sense on the PSP, the control's are made for the PSP, but they do not transfer whatsoever.

It pains me to say this, it truly does because I wish so much that I could recommend this but the PC version is just so horrible, and that's coming from ME!

The last time I regretted something was Mirror of Fate, and that's because it promised so much and delivered absolutely nothing.

I know Hyperdiminsion Neptunia is good, but this isn't a good way to play it.

If you have a controller it would be passable, but even then since it's the smaller PSP version it would be better to get that version so you could take it on the go, at home just play the PS3 orignal.

Again, I'm sorry to have to break the news, but I needed to give fair warning before anyone else suffered...

I should have just gotten the Pre-Sequel, well hindsight I guess.

I was kinda disappointed with Re;Birth too. Sorry to hear you had a similar experience.

Yeah, if I can find a PS3 I'll be able to just play the orignal (yes I have the game but not the system, long story) and that would be a lot better.

This port was just a failure, and I had to let others know before they got it.
