The Civilization V mod that was just released on the Steam Workshop is absolute proof that Equestria is unabashedly expansionist and at odds with the burgeoning neo-isolationist ideals that some doves in Europe and North America have started to foster in reaction to the US's post-9/11 foreign policy. I look forward to the talking-head blowhards on cable news debating with Equestrian courtiers about the brochures being passed out and the "free seminars" now being offered in New York, DC, and Atlanta.

Bet you wish you'd skirted closer to the bottom side of the tech tree now, don't you? The ponies are coming, and they're coming for us.

I wouldn't be too worried. Their unique unit is a Wonderbolt squadron, which means Equestria pretty much automatically loses every aerial engagement they get in.

As someone who has no firsthand experience with the Civilization games... what? Equestria would have hella air superiority over any human nation. They can build in the clouds, man! That should be their unique ability.

You're right, I'd be worried about standard pegasi. But their specialty unit is the Wonderbolts, specifically. I think we're safe, militarily speaking.

Now, Def raises a good point about those ponies and their stupid culture bombs though... Well, at least we can always count on good old Montezuma to decide everyone needs to die :)
