They say misery loves company. Not quite. I love Misery's company.

    Important Announcement

    For this post, I will be abstaining from my usual routine of self-deprecating humor. I want to be serious about this.

    Last Friday, I posted a bonus chapter for my story Chasing a Dream. I received a few comments from readers who were excited about the fact that the story wasn't dead.

My visit to Trotcon (finally!) · 3:21am Aug 4th, 2015

Two weeks late, huh? Got no excuse this time. Just lazy. Anyway, so even though the timing is off and the relevance is more or less nonexistent, I'd still like to talk about my time there.

IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!

[Note: I apologize in advance for the absolutely abysmal camera quality. I need to either get a new phone, or fire the cameraman.]

A buddy of mine (a picture of whom you will see soon) invited me to go along with him. After three years, I finally found the time and funds to go. We carpooled to Columbus, Ohio, which was about a two-hour drive. And I, of course, went in costume. I was dressed as a human dressed as myself, as you can see here next to this awesome King Sombra fursuit.

Even though fursuits have a bad rep, I think those triple-X-rated misconceptions are unfair and ridiculous. Fursuits are awesome!

Anyway, I met my waifu in real life! :heart:

I guess she came through the Mirror or something.

BlueSun, I know you're going to love this.

You can't tell here, but that is the Gravity Twilicane.

When Robin meets Robin.

That's my buddy on the left, by the way.

The vendors were great. I even got to meet one of my favorite artists!

Yay Braeburned! :raritystarry::rainbowkiss::twilightsmile::yay::ajsmug::pinkiehappy::eeyup:

Also got this poster, but I can't for the life of me remember who I bought it from. If you know, please tell me.

:heart::rainbowkiss::heart:

MLP DDR. Your argument is invalid.

This song was Beat It.

This guy could play a ton of songs from the show!

His favorite fandom musician is Bronyfied.

But by far, the absolute highlight of the whole event was getting to watch a live performance by my idol, Odyssey Eurobeat.

So beautiful. :raritystarry:

I even got his autograph!!! :yay::heart:

I even posed with a sexy Vinyl Scratch after his show.

Vinyl may not be my waifu, but for you, I'll make an exception. :rainbowwild:

So much else was amazing too, but sadly was never captured on camera. I came in fourth place in the Skullgirls tournament. I wrecked house in SSB4 with Peach. I played "Are You a Changeling" with Jestre DeRama, co-producer of Doctor Whooves and Assistant. I learned how to play the MLP card game and got my own starter deck. Somebody came up to ME and asked to get his picture with Quote! I was floored!

All in all, it was an amazing time. I'm definitely going back next year! :pinkiehappy:

I'm glad you had a great time man :pinkiehappy:

That is so awesome! Now I wanna go!!!:rainbowkiss:

And I love the Spartan ponies!

3293263 On the off chance that you do go next year, we'll definitely have to meet in person person-and-robot.
