Me:
I've had it with you, Windows! I never want to see your operating system again! I'm leaving you and going to Ubuntu!
Windows:
But what If I offered you a new and improved version of myself?
Me:
I don't know... Maybe I- No! You can't trick me anymore!
I know you just want me to come crawling back to you! Goodbye Windows!
Windows:
Me: *looks back once more*
C-Could it be?! Is it possible?! Did you actually get awesome?
Me:
YOU DID!!! YOU GOT AWESOME!!! Oh, Windows! How could I have ever doubted you?!

Suffice it to say, Windows 10 has majorly impressed me. Granted it had a first and second boot hiccups but what OS doesn't when fresh installed?
Its faster, more responsive, and boots a lot faster than 7.
That said, there are a few quirks here and there but nothing I can't look past.
Hey, keep us plebs posted. I'm on 7 now but I'm curious what this is like. I think I'll give it a while first though.
>using Wandows
>using Ubuntu

Heads up warning: The games work fine from what I can tell but steam itself won't respond, reinstalling it in hopes that will fix it.
Edit: Yep, reinstalling steam did the trick!
Ah the joys of upgrade jitters and bugs...
Bad mistake with the new update you allowed them to spy on you worst then before. http://www.techworm.net/2014/10/microsofts-windows-10-permission-watch-every-move.html

Microsoft has pulled this bulshit as early as windows 98, the difference is that someone public finally caught on.
I run a Hackintosh. I have a PC with XP on it, and Microsoft has been hounding me for YEARS to upgrade to something that's not XP... So then they decided to give their new Windows 10 away for free to almost everyone EXCEPT the XP users they've been hounding to upgrade for years...
Smooth, M$... Smooth...
I haven't turned the XP machine on in several months... possibly last year. I don't plug it into the interwebs unless I specifically need to download one specific thing to it. I'll stick to my old XP for now, cause I have a perfectly working Mac OS machine in it's place.
Steam has rapidly become a critical app for me :) Hey, speaking of Steam, does the Linux version they made work in Ubuntu?
For Windows 10 upgrades, thus far I know one person who got it to work like butter, one that had to futz with it, and one who bricked his desktop (and says it won't read his windows 7 backup disk anymore).
lol yeah windows 10 has become my friend it finally allowed me to play the My Little Pony game by gameloft, suffice to say I've not been doing anything but playing that. all in all it's better then windows 8.1 but I still do miss the easiness of XP. but being able to play mobile games on my PC is so awesome i don't care
How much processor and RAM does it use compared to 7.
If it uses more than 7, then while the OS might itself be faster, games and applications run may be slowed due to less available processor and RAM.
