1. Sign up for Google Contributor (sorry, it is probably US-only at this time).
2. Set your monthly contribution.
3. Change your settings to only support specific websites and add fimfiction.net:

I’ve had this running for a couple days now, and so far (in spite of my selection above) I’ve been seeing just the following in place of every normal location on the site:
This is all mobile, though, you may get the actual cats if you are looking from a desktop.
According to the stats so far for about a day of use 156 ads have been removed and I’ve contributed ten cents to Fimfiction. I’m pretty sure the actual effect of this is that I am buying ad-less ads which are served up just to me on just the sites I choose. It’s kind of roundabout to get to the state pictured above, but it seems to work out very reliably if you select just a few websites to support.

You know I have adblock, but I only use it for youtube. I disabled it for this site, at least I'm sure I did. I don't mind ads on sites, though, I do wish the one for this site would not be between the character tags and the chapter links, it makes things not look as tidy.
