It's true. You can't. They might be too old for you, or too young. Or live way over on the other side of the world. Or they already have a girlfriend or a wife. But you can't help who you love, can you?
Anyway, as well as being a truism, You Can't Help who You Love is the title of a story I've recently written with Miss Spectrum. I've had the honour of working as editor for Miss Spectrum for the last five months or so, and for much of that time we've talked about writing a collab together. For a while it was going to be a farcical romance between Derpy and Troubleshoes, but that idea never got moving.
Each of us are firmly aboard the SunLight ship (Sunset Shimmer x Twilight Sparkle). And we both really love Twixie too (Twilight Sparkle x Trixie). So in the end, we decided to remove the middleman (or middle-pony) and write some SunTrix — a tragically neglected ship.
You Can't Help who You Love is a T-rated romance set in the Equestria Girls universe. We're both really happy with how it turned out, and we hope you will like it too!

UPDATE: Dammit! We picked the exact same title as Feather Flyer's awesome Sunlight x Sunlight story. How did I not notice?!?!
