    I'm back!

Did you miss me? College is finally over and done with, I've sorted out my university application, and now I've got plenty of free time on my hands for the next couple of months. Naturally, this means that I've finally got time to resume work on Pinkie Personalities!

    Going on hiatus-apologies

The title says it all, really. Sorry guys. I've got some really pressing issues to do with my education, and with exams in just a few months, I don't have a lot of time to write at the moment. I'm not sure how long this will last exactly, my schedule's a bit iffy, but I can safely say I'm probably not going to be posting anything for at least a month.

    Sorry again,

    Next chapter soon, and Fanart!

First off, I'm happy to say you can expect a new chapter soon. Not sure when exactly, but soon all the same.

    A question on rating.

Pinkie Personalities is currently rated as Teen. However, I'm wondering if, even though it isn't excatly explicit, the violence in 'Dark Memories' is enough to push it closer to a mature rating. What do you guys think? I think I'd better put a warning in the chapter title, at the very least, but do you think I should upgrade the age rating too?

    Slight delay

There's a slight delay on the next chapter. I was aiming to have it out this past weekend, but the dreaded exam season is here, and I've been too busy with revision. I'll try to do some typing here and there, but realistically I'm afraid it won't be done before this weekend. Sorry!

i would say keep it teen. Yes the memories are dark, but they fir teen if you ask me. But for the warning? You can add, maynbe some people would appreciated

Unless the violence gets worse than what we saw in 'Dark Memories' Teen is still an appropriate rating.

Teen is fine. 8f the whole story were like that, and there was more focus on the physical and emotional suffering she went through it would merit a mature tag. But as it stands that really isn't necessary.

Keep the teen. I've read worse in other 'teen' fics, and if you were to upgrade the rating, you would be losing a lot of potential readers.

Since there isn't any sex in it you would need something like pinkie watching her friends get gutted and skinned alive then give details about how they were gutted in the process to warrant mature rating. It's just fine in teens and a simple warning in the title would be vary much appreciated by the new readers.

Definitely not; the amount of detail you gave barely warrants a teen rating. So far, most of the story would actually qualify as an E rating. That flashback is all that keeps it at a teen rating. Don't worry about it, there's no need for an M rating at all.

If Batman's "dark night" movie is pg 13, you can get away with a teen rating no problem.

If there were a lot of blood and gore involved, then the story would fit into an M-rating. But since the dark memories part involved non-gory violent and disturbing images, a Teen rating is fine by me.

After all, I've read stories that involved scenes where a pony bled like crazy because of a paper cut and a wayward spell (Fluttershy Gets a Paper Cut), and a scene where various zombies try and kill normal ponies (Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's Bogus Journey).
