    Hey there everybody. It's been an awful long time, hasn't it?

    Man, where to even start?

    Well, I guess the beginning will have to be fine enough.

    Right, so I got that alphabet done, as well as completely redoing Gryphic. Also added some words and such, as well as that Traditional Pegasus.

    Concerning the languages of Equestrian and Griffish.

    Alright, so I've compiled what I have thus far of the language known as Equestrian, as well as bits of Griffish, and this little thing includes words, sounds that can be made, and grammatical rules.

    ~ E Q U E S T R I A N ~

    a b ch d e f g h i
    j k l m n o p r rr
    s t u v w y z th sh
    ee oo oe R ie

    rr = tongue trilled r
    R = throat trilled r

    Noun, then adjective, like in Spanish.

This is Equestrian. Equestrian descends from Equus, and is one of the Equestik languages, along side Traditional Pegasus and Modern Cowlik. It did not initially start out with it's own writing system, but actually adopted the Griffish writing system, much like the European languages and the Latin alphabet. Equestrian, should it be written with Griffish characters, would be read right to left.

Equestrian is one of the world's most widely spoken languages, alongside Griffish and Horabian.

~ G R I F F I S H ~

Griffish is a Griffonic language, and whilst there were many in the country we now know as Griffonia, the conquests for the territory to create this nation has all but whipped them out, (notable exceptions being Dogeish and Breezj). Griffish is one of the oldest languages in the world, (the only languages older being Changeese and Traditional Pegasus). Griffish also has the most widely used writing system, with it having one of the oldest as well.

Griffish is one of the world's most widely spoken languages, along side Equestrian and Horabian.

(Please note that these languages of Equestria are works and progress, and that I will post another blog post at a later date with a more comprehensive list of vocabulary, as well as Griffish characters)
