State of the Author Report - July 2015 Edition · 9:11pm Jul 16th, 2015
Hey gang.
Miss me?
Yeah, me too.
So I'm gonna keep this short, since I've got a fuckton of things to do today. But I felt the need to touch base with all of you folks given my relative silence over the past two months.
For those of you who are unaware, I am currently studying heavily for my CCNA exam tentatively scheduled to be taken in about three to four weeks. This studying has taken up the bulk of my previously free writing time, due to the complex nature of the subjects involved.
However, I haven't been completely idle. I have continued to resolutely chip away at my next fic, and hope to have enough of it done to start posting chapters before the end of July. Further, I will be writing and releasing more additions to Treecastle of Terror whenever the mood properly strikes me. I know this long silence kind of sucks, but with my extremely limited funds and free time, I need to make the absolute most of my studying so I can find a grown-up job and make enough money to not be horribly poor anymore.
That being said, I do have one other project that will take less time than writing, but will still satisfy my need to be both pony and creative. Stay tuned to this space for more information on that project as things develop, but I think you guys are gonna like this one.
Finally, after much serious consideration, I am opening up tentative writing commissions because money is extremely tight for me right now, and I can far better justify taking two or three days away from other projects to make some side cash. Prices will depend on the length and complexity of the work, though you should assume around 9 bucks per 1k words will be a general standard. If you are interested in something of this nature, please contact me via PM. All money will go towards the desperate work of keeping my car running and keeping me in groceries while I try to hammer out something of a professional career.
If any of you would like to ask any questions or if you have any concerns, feel free to voice them in the comments.
I deeply hope that come august, I will be back on my saddle doing heavy writing until my graduation in december.
Thank you for your time and support, and as always,
I remain, Humbly Yours.
