First story is live, heck yeah
I'm kind of amazed that this happened at all, since the whole thing started off as a "wouldn't this be cool" daydream that I decided I liked enough that I should write it down so I didn't forget about it. I figured it would be a 5k-10k "getting me feet wet" kind of thing... and then I was at chapter 7 with 20k+ words and barely 24 hours having passed in the story. Now I'm at 30k+ words, 10 chapters, and have absolutely no idea how long it's going to end up being. My imagination has not been dissuaded however, and I already have ideas for one (possibly two) sequels as well as a few side stories.
Regarding quality and whatnot... I have no idea. The sum total of my writing experience before starting this is limited to high school/college prompted essays, reading ~200 stories on this site, plus reading this guide. I've never written a narrative *anything* in my life. It's also only been edited/proofread (repeatedly) by me. What I'm saying is: please feel free to point out any mistakes/grammar errors, and >>constructive<< feedback is more than welcome.
A bit more of an explanation of the Dark tag: The vast majority of the story (like 95%+) will come nowhere near what I would consider "Dark". A bit of what would be considered morbid humor to your average Equestrian most certainly, but Dark not so much.
For the Changelings showing up: I would like to say that this will start happening after the next few chapters, but on the other hand literally everything about this story has ended up taking more time and words than I originally estimated. For example, chapters 5, 6, and the first half of 7 were originally supposed to be just a few paragraphs . So take that particular guess with a few grains of salt I suppose.
