Pronunciations, and Other Happenings · 11:33pm Jul 14th, 2015
Dear Princess Celestia,
Today, I learnt that I didn’t even know how to pronounce my own username correctly. Props to one Neighrator Pony for correcting me on this; he’s a pretty cool guy.
Oh, and he also does damn fine dramatic readings:
I love how well he's captured Blueblood’s tone; slightly haughty, but unrepentantly so; entirely self-aware of the irony between who he is and the sentiment he’s attempting to express. I've listened to it three times so far - go and give it a listen yourself! He's done an absolutely brilliant job, as he always does.
On a separate note, I’m at least part way through editing my entries from the last two Writeoffs. If you’re in the Writeoff Association, which a good 20% of you are, there’s a chance you’ve read at least one of them already. If you’re not in the Writeoff Association, I suggest you rectify that immediately. Honestly, it’s the only reason I get anything written at all these days. My self-imposed deadline is to have both of them done by the start of the next Writeoff event in ten days’ time; hopefully, they’ll be up on the site a little after that.
I mean, it'll only have taken me five months to get something else up on the site. That's not bad going, right?
Welp, I feel like a dope, I was thinking your name was pronounced "Fo-en" similar to my son's name, Koehn, but I was wrong. Excellent reading, too.
