I had planned to take 2 or 3 weeks off from writing but er...it looks like it'll be more than that now.
My coworker is leaving to pursue another job in about a month's time so I now have six months to finish the project we've been working on--on my own. This essentially means my workload has doubled.
There is the possibility that my contract will be extended, but since I have no idea one way or the other I have to assume that six months is all I have. It's a lot of work, plus I have a qualification I'm working towards so I guess the fanfic will have to take a backseat.
I'll still read stories and comment and answer PM's but don't really have time to be creative with the words for a while. :(

Oooh, double workload. Ouch, that sounds rough. I'll be praying that things work out for you.
Work sounds like it'll need you, so don't worry bout us! Don't let fanfiction make all that work difficult for yourself. We can wait.

I'm really hoping for a contract extension, but unfortunately the line of work I'm in is often temporary because of funding streams.
