A list of some shenanigans and crazy stuff that took place at sailing camp last week. I'm going to use a lot of sailor lingo so feel free to ask me anything that you're confused about.
I was demonstrating a tack with a girl on my boat when the clove hitch attaching the halyard to the gaff spar came undone. The girl jumped off the boat in time, but the boom spar ended up crashing on my shoulder, and there was concern that I had gotten a concussion (it's happened to other campers before, but I don't let it hinder my love for sailing).
I was on another boat helping girls with jibing, but the wind was a little strong. Several girls fell overboard and I ended up capsizing twice over the course of an hour or so, but we all laughed about it.
Our dorm pranked a neighboring dorm by carrying an entire boat hull into the main room and surrounding it with chairs. We had the hugest laugh!
