I have always been a fan of mailmare Derpy from fannon and the IDW comics. We both work in a similar field, and I always joke that if Significant Other and I were ever HiE, we would end up working alongside Derpy at the Post.

The chappie @3:25 who is working the Delivery Barcode Sorter? That is (part of) my job. Now granted, the facility I work at is privately owned, and much smaller than that huge monstrosity of a distribution hub, but the work is the same, if on a smaller scale.
It is a fun job.

That certainly is interesting. Many members of my family (elder brothers, various others in Significant Other's family) work in the medical industry. We have not a few doctors, PAs and NPs. It certainly makes getting check-ups, shots, and prescriptions easy.
3527979 I'm not from the USA, so I don't know the problems related with your country's healthcare system (or if there's even one). I do not know if Obamacare is already being applied, but if its family health strategies are anything like our SUS' (Sistema Único de Saúde {Universal Healthcare System}) then you guys have much to rejoice.

Yup that was from work, no it was not "real". Turns out it was a prank by one of my co-workers.

Watching that much mail be sorted, it’s amazing that things get where they’re going with near perfect reliability. And the same can be said for packages (both USPS as well as UPS, FedEx, etc.)--I’ve seen some videos of those sorting systems at work, too, and they’re insane. Like, I think it’s one of FedEx’s hubs, their building at the airport is bigger than the terminal.
I really need to re-watch that episode with the mail ponies. I remember watching part of it looking for a good screenclip for Wytch Elm, ‘cause I needed a picture of a wagon with a broken wheel.
As for what I do IRL? Weekdays, I’m an auto mechanic; on the weekend, I’m direct care staff at a group home for developmentally disabled adults.
