Fifty Shades of Neigh review updated · 5:21am Jun 29th, 2015
This covers chapters eight of the book, which equates to eight and nine of Fifty Shades, and I've also provided a bit about Grey, which is Fifty Shades written from Christian Grey's point of view. If you haven't read it and will never read it for any one of a number of excellent reasons, you can hear it from me that it is one of the laziest things I've ever seen. It can't have been for anything other than the money, unless perhaps it's a sort of backhanded attempt at a defense of the hero, in which case it utterly fails. He's even worse seen from the inside.
I'm just going to link to Rage Reviews, and you can find it there. It's probably over-cautious, but there you are. I'm also thinking about housing it somewhere else, or somewhere else, too, in which case I'll let you know.
And yes, I am getting back to Horse Words soon.
I have heard such terrible, horrible things about Fifty Shades and the Christian Grey character that I'm almost tempted to read it out of sheer bile fascination.
Of course, he's based on Edward Cullen, who seems to be one of the most abusive and hideous romantic leads in a book series. Not surprised to learn Christian is kind of terrible.
(From what I understand, the sex stuff in the book is also extremely inaccurate to actual BDSM, and borderline rape. Which is just...absolutely something the world needed more of, you know? Of course, not having read the books I feel guilty dissing them out of hand, so...)
